Hi Susanne, any update on the situation? I hope it's all working out for you.0

Good luck Susanne.
An elderly relative of ours was robbed by her EA. He undervalued her home, which was bought by the EA's pal, then immediately back on the markt for considerably more. She had no legal redress because she signed her acceptance of the valuation etc. What an absolute blastard.
Her story certainly showed me the importance of getting several valuations from different agents and checking the prices that similar properties have sold for in your area.
Your tale serves only to prove to me once more, that the property business is a racket ~ it's not enough that the fees are extortionate, but given the opportunity they'll simply rob you blind as well.
I do hope your new solicitor gathers enough evidence to ensure these so n so's don't get away with it and can't do it again.
Once your solicitor has finished and the case is closed, maybe you should contact a Watchdog type show and help warn the general populace about this scam?I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -
I read this thread, or most of it anyway. It strikes me that the Op should focus her attention on her estate agent, not the solicitor, who hasn't done anything wrong.0

I got really excited when I saw you'd posted again but I should have remembered about the 28 day thing. We're all following this with interest. Good luck, Suzanne, hang on in there and keep us updated.

Same as marmitequeen here, waiting patiently to see if justice is served. Alot of people come on here and tell half their story, get the help and never come back to tell how its going so mse members never know if they got the desired result. Thanks for the update suzanne2010, and keep em coming0

I really hope your new solicitor isnt going to cost you too much to get to the bottom of things, have you hired him on the basis of 'investigating' the conveyancing and finding out via a paper trail who was acting illegally? Where would he be going witht this? I just wouldnt want you to be swapping one con man for another!
I just wonder what paperwork the original solicitor will end up sending/loosing, as I doubt he will willingly provide any paperwork that will implicate him.
We had issues with our solicitor for conveyancing work and took our evidence to the LCS (legal complaints service) who work on behalf of the law society, and are dealing with it, free of charge.0 -

Just thought i would let everyone know i am still no further forward with this problem, it looks like the most i may acheive is getting the land registry to chase the property company and their solicitor,as according to my conveyance solicitor its the p/company/solicitor who changed all the names on the contract/transfer, so they have commited fraud by submitting erronous information to the land registry, whether my solicitor had any knowledge of what they were doing or not i will never know.they may also have neglected to tell the inland revenue how much proffit they have made at my expense, anyway i will post again when i get more info.0
