£14 for me today, fruit for the next 5 days at least! A couple of boxes of lollys for DS, I know I could have made them cheaper, but, I like to treat him now and again, they should last him ages!
I used a basket, and a shop I hate (in and out) lol

I hope you have a super birthday, Spiggle. I'm unimpressed at the thought of being 40 in a few years time so I feel for you not looking forward to the number cranking forward. Just remember it's only a number. I still feel about 27 and they say you're as young as you feel!
Got my first NSD of the month today. Admittedly this involved staying at home and feeling rotten (I've got the cold - it won't last forever!) but I *could* have gone out and bought a whole lot of rubbish to 'comfort' myself and didn't. Instead I stuck dinner in the SC, did the minimum of household chores and spend the rest of the day with my feet up and my knitting.
Tomorrow has potential as another NSD although I've not checked the diary yet ... yep - don't have errands to run so no opportunity to spend.
See you all tomorrow night!Household: Laura + William-cat

Had Tesco delivery tonight but it was split between DS1 and myself so only spent another £30, that should see us through until this time next week, so things looking not too bad.Couldnt be bothered making tea tonight so threw on a quick pot of soup and HM rice pudding, lovely for a change. Will take the leftover soup in a flask for lunch tomorrow, with a sandwich so that should save a wee bit too.
Well off to have a quick look on FB, and see whats what,
nite

End of first month (mine runs 18th - 17th) and feeling very pleased with myself! Food spend normally £300-£350; this month £245. Reading all the posts regularly makes feel I can achieve (eventually) £150. Had Tesco delivery today of £101 which is higher than I had hoped but have grandsons coming for week and have bought treats! Should only need to buy some fresh fruit for rest of month as freezer full of meat, veg, milk and bread. Never thought I could spend so little compared with my food bill when I was working.0
