  • No change to my sig required tonight. I've spent money today so no NSD added but I didn't spend on groceries so nothing added to that total either. Tomorrow should be NSD but I have a yearning for pizza and may have to satisfy it ...

Congratulations, Moniker - that's some total of NSDs!

I'm a bit late at declaring, but my total spends came to $41.63. Under budget, but not as much as I was hoping. There were a few too many things that came on special towards the end there.
  • Sorry it's a few days since I've updated - PMS has struck and I've spent a whole lot of time growling at people who happen to be eating chocolate. Two WeightWatchers Rich Chocolate Desserts has helped somewhat ;p There have been a few small-ish grocery spends, some larger gift spends (September and October are birthday months in my family) and one NSD while I've been silent.

Congratulations on coming in under budget, MindaJ!

  • I'm still running a bit over budget and am not helped by feeling lousy at the moment. My parents gave me a load of fresh veg before they left for their holiday so that's helping out this week. Most of it is going to become pasta sauce as I've already plenty of soup in the freezer.

Sig has been updated with this week's grocery shop (mysupermarket said Mr S was cheapest again which suits me fine as that's where I prefer to shop).

I've become distracted by my OU course. It's starting at the beginning of October so the books have arrived and I've been socialising on FaceBook with some of my fellow students which is lovely but has taken away from time I've been spending here so I feel I've lost my focus somewhat. However, I'm still keeping my receipts and therefore keeping track even if I'm not doing so every day it's still progress from where I was this time last month!

Thanks for all your support :)

    Hi Everyone,
Hope that everyone has been keeping well. Have missed posting but just been so busy and not had time to read any of the posts at all but hopefully will catch up on this thread a bit later tonight or at least make a start anyhow.

After spending a fortune while away I really need to start saving again.

I know its half way through the month so will not join in officially but am going to try not to spend any more than £160 This is until 30th Sept and then will start again properly in Oct.

Will have to go out tomorrow for some food as we need some fruit and veg etc.

  • Hello

Sorry I've not been posting - things at the OU are very busy at the moment with the start of my new course looming and getting to know my new course-mates is taking time. I've paid the price (literally!) for my inattention to money-saving and need to declare:

    £256.88 for August.

However, as this is the first time I've actually *done* the challenge for a month, I think a £6.88 overspend isn't at all bad.

Today is pay-day so I'm moving over to the September thread.
