Congratulations to all who set themselves the Grocery Challenge for August. :T Whether on target or not your spends will have been lower because you've been watching. Keep up the great work (and holding on to receipts/recording spends).

I'm declaring at £307.74 for August. Way over but the overspends are easily traceable and explainable so not a problem. Our first time over and I'm hoping it will be our last. ;)

See you all over on the September thread,

Just done my final shop for August = £73.88, my total for the month is £366.99 which is below my target of £425. Yippee:j

Although I have realised that this is an average of £73.40 per week so my target for £70 per week in the September challenge may not be possible!!!:(, going to give it my best shot though - see you all on the September thread.

    Evening all

Spent another £4.53 today on sausages, milk and chocolate biscuits so I'm declaring at £406.09/£400 for August.

I'll carry the £6.09 over to Sept but I'm quite pleased with that. Unfortunately I'm already nearly a quarter through my September budget so I think next month is going to be a bit bumpier!

    Good luck everybody.
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.

    Hello All

Just declaring £149/£140 as my final spend for August - feel a bit cheesed off that the elusive £140 is beyond me for the last few months

But - i did manage 13 NSD's this month so its not all bad

    Best Wishes all

Had one last Whoopsie Swoop for the month tonight - £7.80 spent on goods worth £19.18
Best individual bargain (bought to try as I've never had anything like them before) was a £2.99 pack of 8 Smoked Salmon Mini Terrines for just 39p

Declaring August as a £116.50 spend (£112.50 in shops and £4 from my pre 1st Jan stock pile) against my budget of £105

Here's hoping I can finally manage to claw back some of my year-to-date overspend after DS moves out on 12th ;)
