Just think it was un called for Cleaver......Why should they quit?

They just gave an opinion on a subject they had personal experience of..They obviously care about the country, see what is happening to society and post their observations.......so why should they quit ? should everyone who has similar experiences quit theyre jobs too.......

Just gives the impression you would prefer us all to go away, keep quiet and not rock the boat......;)

You're right, perhaps it was harsh.

There's loads of issues created by immigration, and I'm happy to debate them. I don't like lazy, workshy people more than anyone else and am keen to see immigration tightened in this country. I'm always happy to discuss stuff with people like yourself, who might have a different view point but can debate intelligently.

However, this guy seems to think that all the drunken problems in this country are caused by foreigners and thinks there is a hidden agenda behind benefits adverts which only have white people in them because people are scared to offend people from other backgrounds. And whilst this might be his opinion, and might be shared by others, I think it's safe to say that he's a misguided loon that isn't really worth having a discussion with.

Seeing a vision of this country you don't like is understandable. Blaming it on drunk Latvians and PC benefit posters is less so.

more houses are needed however for these immigrants - building more houses increases the supply and may affect house prices depending on demographics.

    Indeed.

If the number of houses built was proportional to the number of immigrants coming into the country, then the effect on house prices would be minimal in the short-medium term. Economic immigrants may not settle here, so if houses were built for them it would have a positive effect on the economy in the short term (more building jobs, and associated employment related to houses being built/furnished). If some of those immigrants left the country, the supply of property would increase, therefore possibly reducing prices. Of course, there are so many variables, it is impossible to precisely predict what the outcome might be.

My opinion is that it should be a simple case of the government creating the conditions for adequate supply of housing for the population, be it indiginous or from immigration. By allowing immigtation and population growth (or not being able to prevent it), the government should be doing every in it`s powers to encourage house building. We obviously haven`t reached a critical point yet, where we are all living in cramped conditions, or even on the streets, but it appears that we are only getting closer to that situation. What plans are being made ? The longer they sit back and watch, the harder the problem will be when it finally arrives (credit crunch ?).

If oil and gas were to be in short supply, we`d expect our government to be doing everything they can to secure enough supply. In fact, I think there`s a fair chance that they would. Housing seem to be an issue that will have to wait, afterall, HPI wins votes, doesn`t it ?

You see dolehoppers and immigrants can rent anywhere backed by state funds.

And how about immigrants who actually work, pay tax and pay private rent? Ever met any of those? Or do all the immigrants you met never work?

The truth is the "Runaway train" has long gone and theres no way they can catch it up.

Just 4 miles from me is a small Market Town, they have just started building around 135 houses. They haven't yet said how many will be Social Housing , but I bet its not even close to the 30% or so that Government suggest. The ones that will be sold are being advertised : 2 bedroom houses from £215,000 .

These houses will not help young local people at all because they won't be able to afford to buy them or even rent them, given that the rents will be at least £600 per month........The houses will more than likely be snatched up by BTL investors ,2nd homeowners or Holiday lets.It will bring more people to the town and put more pressure on public services..........Wages in Rother District and Hastings are low so theres little or no hope for the young of the area.

This is exactly why they crunch point is coming sooner than those in their nice middle class houses believe. Its akin to an invisible walled estate, they have No idea whats going on outside.....

The housebuilding we need is Social Housing, end off, full stop , not for profit housing......

But misskool..you must surely accept that in forumland,we must generalise and it is and unspoken given that of course, within groups who are mentioned in such generalisations, there are those who are 100% legit.

But let us first deal with immigrants...

Well we have thousands who come here on fake college scams and under the guise of students who overstay.

We have those who are from particular communities who look after and facilitate their own so to speak...eg Pakistani communities, many of whom are into fraud and crime on various levels.

The very state of being an illegal immigrant means that you do work on the fringes, often cash in hand..are open to a certain degree of exploitation unless protected by your community.

It would be the same if for example, I went and lived in Spain. I would probably do cash in hand work within the exp at community, ducking and diving a bit.

Of course in countries like Spain, they are nowhere near as lavish as we are in muggins UK and there would be no housing benefit and such like.

It is everyones duty to help to purge this country of..

    criminals
    illegal immigrants
    benefit fraudsters
    radicals

If we dont, then it will be the worse for all of us.

We have enough indigenous parasites without importing more.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

Seems that way. So what do they do ? If the government just gave up it wouldn`t be so bad, but they seem to be hell bent on refuelling the train, and greasing it`s axles.

    Oooh, I like analogies. :)

I am afraid that you have confused your opinion with fact again. Reread my posts, do it a few times, think about it, then digest, then realise that you have focussed on a few words, completely out of context and gone on a PC rant in the hope that I would reply with racist diatribe, when somebody quotes facts, rather than opinions it holds more water than somebody that criticises these facts, you have accused me of saying that all drunks are Polish, when in fact I have used this as an example to back up a point. The last position of the PC brigade is to infer racism, then infer mental health issues.

You say you are happy to debate with them, what by abusing posters on an internet forum and infering they are racist and should quit their jobs, you should look in a mirror.

The Government are backward and stupid.

About 3 years ago I took the trouble to write to Mr Woolas

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phil_Woolas

To highlight the preponderance of fake universities and colleges in certain areas of Manchester. Incidentally, most if not all of those areas are almost exclusively Pakistani areas.

It is well known that these are simply used to assist illegal immigration and yet the whole thing just seemed to be on the periphery of Mr Woolas' radar.

Fast forward to last week and the subject was raised on the BBC news where one such crooked establishment, again in a Pakistani area, had its licence pulled by the useless Government department which oversees this charade and why? well they were assisting illegal immigration..!!

The Government are blind, stupid and backward.

Fortunes have been made on these scam universities for decades and yet nothing is done !

There was a temporary halt on student applications from a few south asian countries last year.

There are colleges that do get closed down but you must also not forget that higher education in the UK is one of the top ten exports. The universities would not survive if there were no international students. There are now CAS and English tests in place for those wanting to continue their education here.

You can't stop those who choose to overstay and become illegal. Yet the government make it harder for those who do continue to try and play by the rules so that those who can evade do so. There must be a better balance point.
