i can highly recommend.. the tablets.."cyklokapron" doc gave me these, have had 2 3xday during periods.. they are fantastic... they are lik a clotting agent and reduced my floods to trickles..
He also advised that they can work wonders for some and do nothing for others.. but surely you could mention these to ur doc.. hope you get sorted i know what is like....BSC Member #97- Discharged 4/2/09

Tell your boss the trust. If he's a real man he should be able to hear about women's problems.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

usually if you say gynae problems/womens problems, it saves being asked more questions, they usually want to just leave it alone!
is it poss endemetriosis? my best friend suffered this for years, it also gave her fertility problems. no joy with gp etc. until she met her rich (now ex) partner. he paid for her to go private and she had laser treatment for it through keyhole surgery (something like that, sorry not sure) and it cleared sufficiently for her to concieve her dd.
all the best

You have my sympathy; I've had the same problem in the past, which led to a hysterectomy.
I've found the truth to be the best option; I simply say 'Women's problems' to my boss and he wilts and emphatically doesn't want to know details. The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0 -
I agree with Nicki 100% with possibly the mention of gynae problems. It is confidential between yourself and your doctor. Just as an aside I flood too and have found that I can't use tampons anymore as I pass clots, but Always nightime are about the best pads I have found - use them all the time! Although I do sleep on a towel as well as I do leak at night!0

Hope your feeling a bit better I suffer the same way and the messages here have made me feel more positive!
I know that Male GP's can be a lot better than the Female ones! - Also the same for bosses!
I hope all goes well.

I had the same problem. Luckily my immediate boss is a medical consultant, but he was still grossed out :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I had the Mirena which worked but has led to other problems so I will be having an op asap

            Poor you.
I can only agree with what everyone else has said on here. Just tell him the truth. It is nothing to be ashamed of. Hopefully in the future when other women have similar problems he will understand.
Take care. Hope you are feeling better soon. When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile
