Has anyone used an e-coupon on Tesco Direct and not received the extra points? Seems to have happened to me twice now and they also seem to have put points on another clubcard!

Doesn't mean the 'other' clubcard is not in your name!

When you do on-line orders with Tesco, if you don't quote a clubcard no, the system makes one up for you - it's a 'virtual card' as opposed to a physical card you may use in a store. This 'virtual card' will have the name & address you gave with that original order. The receipt will say how many points, and will usually quote the last four no's of the CC

So did they give you the complete no? If yes, ring Clubcard - they can check if it is in your name and address (though that may be an old one - you can't change the CC address on-line), and merge it with your 'normal' card.

yep same as me, Ive used the 5000 points for furniture one, 500 points for general spend and 500 points for another one. No points whatsoever. I was told to expect points when new statement arrives but I'm doubtful. |Anyone else had the same problem?

Those promotional points don't go on straight away, could be at least four-weeks. With that amount of points, expect you'll see the change in your total either on your store receipts or on-line. Besides you can't use the points before the next statement.
Keep, the original order references, and maybe call Tesco Direct for 'after sales' who can instigate the bonus, if valid.

  • I agree, 500 hit straight away for me but i am still waiting for a separate 1000 to land.

Interestingly, i purchased a collection to make £50 for 500 points, took 1 piece back dropping below the £50 but kept the bonus, much whooping was had!

Unfortunately, I only saw the last 4 digits but that was enough to know it was a different card. It was registered to my tesco direct account though so hopefully I'll get a statement for it in November and can take it from there.

Just because it is a different last four no's to your physical card, doesn't mean they are not linked. You may for example have several card no's linked together all generating points, e.g. one on Eon, another on Tesco Mobile, a virtual card for the internet, and another later one you scan in the store.
So, has your points total changed enough on your store receipts?
If not it may be wise to call CC to do a search with your postcode and name - to find the 'other' card and make sure it has the right address. NB the CC address isn't governed by the Tesco direct or GHS address if you move.

I used the 500 points on £50 spend, 500 points on baby n toddler, 1000 points for toys and 500 points for house and home and they have gone on ok, took about a week to go on each time though.
They are meant to show on your next clubcard statement..which comes out in late Oct/early November, in which case they wouldn't show yet anyway. I am buying bunk beds and a new dining table on friday and gonna use the 5000 points one so think that will be pretty noticeable if that one doesn't go on there....:D
    Won't buy nuffink without a discount :p
  • This may seem a bit of a daft question, as I'm sure petrol points have always shown on the statement before, but I've just read the following statement on the clubcard website:

*Sorry you can't collect points on tobacco, lottery products, prescription medicines, infant milk formulae and Esso fuels.

It just made me wonder, because I always take the points into account when I fill up, and if you can't get points on petrol anymore, I might just start filling up at Sainsbury's or somewhere else... Or have I completely misread that?
I don't think I can hang on til Friday...
  • You do still get points on Tesco fuel, I think it is the case that some of the smaller Tesco convenience stores are linked to ESSO petrol stations and are not meant to issue points, but I have also read from previous posts that some of these actually do give out tesco points.

The moral of this uncertainty is - always look on your receipt after the transaction.
If it says something like - you could have earned 'xx' clubcard points - you did give your clubcard for scanning (or else you haven't got one).
If it says something like - trans £41.30 clubcard points 42 extra points 1 - it means you bought £40.00 of fuel and a weekend paper.
or, if it says something like - trans £41.30 clubcard points 2 extra points 1 - it means the same as above but no fuel points!

  • Colgate Sensitive Pro Relief Plus Whitening 35Ml at £1.79 has an extra 50 points (=£2 in reward vouchers) so a virtual 21p profit + some sensitive toothpaste!

Best of the points offers I could see today. Hope this helps someone.
