Hi all,
First time post on the Forums. I spoke to Tesco a little while ago about the recycling centres and they said it was their aim to get them into all Tesco Extra stores. Our local one is being upgraded now so hopefully we will get one (Nearest is near Stansted, 50 miles away! But luckily business takes me over that way once or twice a month)
However now when I take my dogs out for a walk I take an extra bag with me and pick up the cans I find on the way. Probably got around 250 points so far from it. Not bad for a few walks, and it makes my town a bit cleaner0 -
BONUS POINTS
In this month's Tesco Magazine, there is a voucher for 50 extra points when you buy Dolmio's Taste of Italy pasta sauces. Even better though is that the sauces are BOGOF just now!0 -

Need to keep a check on this one, I bought two of these today and the till took off 2 x 50p instead of giving 50 extra points, went to CS, they added the points for me.2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

But, I will have to go back to CS tomorrow because at the till I used my triple points tillslip, given last week, and they were not included. The total bill was £44.08 and I got 144 points. The receipt shows it includes 44 New Extra Points; 6 Green bag re-use, and 50 on the Dolmio Coupon. That's 100 points. The other 44 points were just single ones for the total amount spent, not trebled as I'd expected. I noticed too that the words "Triple Points" are on there but without a points value next to it; it's blank.
As you say, we need to keep a check on them. All of Tesco points offers should be checked really, as I have noticed little mistakes before.
The good thing is that the Dolmio coupon is valid until 31 October so I picked up another magazine on the way out!0 -
If it says 'trile points' on the receipt, they will be added, just not displayed immediately on the receipt. Either ring Clubcard the next day (they won't have 'today's' transactions) or wait a few days and you'll see the extra 44 points added.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0

Maybe just my local store then, the CS tried to reverse the 2x50p off but the till wouldn't let her so she added the extra points and I got the 2 jars BOGOF for £1.09 plus 108pts, worth £4.32 to me on deals!Ecky-thump wrote: »But, I will have to go back to CS tomorrow because at the till I used my triple points tillslip, given last week, and they were not included. I too had this problem. I'll wait and see how many points are added on the website this week (per no1catman's post) and go back to CS next week if necessary.Ecky-thump wrote: »As you say, we need to keep a check on them. And not just the points offers, I am that annoying person getting in everyones way while I check my receipt after checking out.I'm amazed at how many mistakes I find - I've had some cracking results because of it though!

Jackieblack - this topic is giving some good information! Only, my jars of Dolmio Pasta Sauce were priced at £2.09 each, not at £1.09 as you say yours were. The b1g1f shows as "- £2.09" on my till receipt. Who's right?
Good info from no1catman about it taking a few days to be shown on the points count when you use a triple points coupon. I went to CS today and the lady added the points on for me, being 3 times 44 = 132points! So when the system catches up with the coupon I might have them added again!0 -

Sorry, maybe I didn't explain that very well.
They were priced at £2.09 each, BOGOF, so 2 for £2.09, then the till took off 2 x 50p when my coupons were scanned - reducing the price I paid to £1.09. When I went to CS the computer would not let them reverse the coupons so they added the points as well.2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

:embarasseYes, I see that now! I didn't connect the two; the 2x50p (i.e. £1)and the bogof, plus that they couldn't reverse the coupon error - thanks for explaining. I'm thick sometimes. You got a bargain there!
I'm having to go shopping later today and hope to pick up another magazine, if they are still there. I'll show it to my niece. I also saw other offers in it. I hadn't taken any notice of them in that big box they have them in on the way out past the tills just waiting to be picked up, but when I joined this thread it made me look. Cheers!0 -
I recently bought an electronic item worth about £350 and was given an extra 500 points.
I have since returned this item and been refunded because my girlfriend got one free through work.
Can anybody tell me if the points will be deducted from my account again.
It looks as if they haven't, is this a mistake? I don't to spend the point and then they come looking for them.0
