  • Does anyone know if Tesco/Airmiles are going to do the double airmiles offer again any time soon? Wondering whether I should bite the bullet and get the 60 miles per £2.50 or wait and see if I can get double and so 100 miles per £2.50

When you said you joined in Jan - how, via Clubcard, or on-line? Maybe if on-line it is just linked to a CC no you rarely use.
Might be wise to ring clubcard to check whether your settings are right e.g. 'yes' to offers, and whether wine club applies to your main no.

PS The Healthy Living and Food Clubs are in process of being phased out.
Hi I joined online through the clubcard site where I check my balance etc and used their links but we have two accounts one for store clubcard well used and seperate for credit card with occasional store use i.e small purchases but both accrue many points. I applied for both at same time so cannot guess at the difference did notice when I went back on yesterday that the healthy living is no longer on the site. I think I should give them a ring as I would rather shop in store than online

I think she was referring to the Clubcard Plus which you get 3 points for every £ spent with.

Can someone expand on this? how does it work and who uses it?

Clubcard Plus has been discontinued and is no longer available to new customers.
  • Ok. I just picked up the T Direct catalogue and noted the large Clubcard points savings. 15000 up for grabs with some easy wins like 500 of any £50 shop. There are some extreme ones however that require sizable furniture purchases or kitchen/ appliance rerquirements.

Worth noting, already the online site has price reductions from the catalogue. i went on to look at a digital camera, and found the online version a model up and £10 less than the catalogue version, so if you are looking to spend to qualify for bonus points, look online for the latest price.

  • Bought 12 5l bottles of water in TESCO yesterday, at self service i entered 6 own bags as they fit 2 to a re-usable Tesco bag.

The machine called the assistant over who said i had put in too many as i did not have the bags with me. 2 points:

First, no where does it say you have to bring the bags in store, infact on the green website it specifically says you can claim if you carry the goods.
Second, i offered the assistant the opportunity to come with me to the car and watch as i cross loaded 6 bags in the boot. They declined.

One to watch, i always re-use, and i enjoy a few points for the goodness, but i refuse to carry loads of empries around the store, i will load them when i get to the car.

  • I find the bag policy bizarre. If you shop online without bags they give you 1 green point per 10 items, but I once had a £40 shop delivered and they used 19 bags! I don't think I've used that many bags for a huge christmas shop.
I think Tesco needs to re-educate the staff on their own policy. It's getting to the point where you need an internet phone or screen print outs so you can show staff what the policy is.

So at least its not just me having my integrity challenged.. Good!

  • I've just seen a link to this thread and so thanks to Jackieblack on the "Boost Your Airmiles Discussion Area". I always look out for the "tillslips", as they are called, issued with my receipt at Tesco. They mostly are for items we normally buy as I believe that Tesco keeps a record of what we buy and so they give extra points and/or money off tillslips on these items. Also, being in their "Food Club" brings extra points tillslips too, so join up if you are not already in it!
