Really annoying this is changing. I've got a load of bonus points to be added, that I earned with the expectation that they were to be used as 3x on my train tickets - may email them to complain. The points currently aren't showing... bet they appear on December 2nd!

Wouldn't make any difference if your 'bonus' points get added on the 2nd Dec or 2nd Jan - they won't arrive in vouchers until early Feb.

no only online. way round it would be to use the click & collect if you can get to work www.tesco.com/collect
Private Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA :D
  • I thought I'll say tesco have 150 EXTRA CLUBCARD POINTS valid from 19/12/2011 until 2/1/2012 when you buy any of those products.

    Thanks for the heads up.

Please note that the 150 extra points are per TWO items.
  • Apologies if this is in the wrong place.

Any thoughts on the virgin air miles? Is there any sort of ready reckoner about how much the miles are "worth" - for example what they sell on ebay for?

I am considering starting to use the vouchers to save for air miles for a holiday 12 months away, but if its a really poor use of the vouchers, if anyone knows, I'd appreciate your input!

    TIA

Thing to remember with Virgin Miles & Avios (Airmiles) is that you have to pay the taxes. They only come into their own if you are converting them to fly at the height of the season It takes approx £210 of CC vouchers for a return flight to Florida Taxes etc about £280. Unless you have a stack of CC voluchers to exchange it might be worth looking at Avios as they are giving 1000 Avios per £2.50 instead of the usual 600 during February.

The alternative is to see if you can use your vouchers with a Tour Operator

    Slightly associated and not otf-Thread.

Problems at midnight last Tuesday[RHS limited availability membership/voucher redemption]meant I had long call ot Clubcard Helpdesk next morning. Chap had same problems as moi, but it was eventually sorted.
During prolonged instructed faffing about on Mr T pages, I spotted, for the 1st time ever, 'Travel' in list of other 'services/products', bottom r/.h quadrant.
En bref -nothing to do with airmiles/Reward use - I have found Qantas flight>NZ leaving much sooner than I'd expected. Prev. Low Season fare - April>June - is significantly dearer and I've been checking them out for several months. Did all of Martin's things and loads of other comparisons and it still held up v.v.v.well - plus Clubcard Plus points, so booked - on Black Friday, which pleased me, too. Off in under a month for 50 days.

Used the Flight only option - you may like to check it out. It certainly surprised me.
Factoring in £48 Rewards is a winner for me, coupled with decent airline.

Just wondered if anybody had received their (Galaxy Ace) 20,000 (or equivalent) bonus points from the Tesco PhoneShop promotion that started in December? As far as I could tell in the T&C's, they were meant to be credited in time for the next statement, ie-Feb? I don't need them just now as I save for Christmas- but was just curious as I want to make sure they do get credited unlike my MIL last year when she took out car insurance and never received the bonus points, just kept getting fobbed off saying it would be on the following statement... every time for about a year :(

    VeLoCiTY:

Galaxy points - promotional points very rarely go on straight away. Please check T & Cs - with something like a 'contract' would probably include at least two payments. Or when 'bought' reckon on six to eight weeks.
It's an incentive to have product and keep it, not return it after a short time - and keep the points!

Car Ins - CC can tell you if they have been added recently i.e. you don't see them on your statement or on MCA. But if not, you would need to query it with the Insurance co - i.e. quote policy no and if they have the correct CC (and not for example an old credit card clubcard no - i.e. Cd/CC must be 63400490 etc).
NB any policy stated since April doesn't qualify for CC pts on the premium.
