Just opened these sugar free wheat & oat biscuits: http://www.approvedfood.co.uk/biscuits/fontaneda_sin_azucares_dorada_315g

Really yummy & not too sweet. Definitely worth 35p! :T

Any idea how long they're currently taking to reply to emails? I had a box with broken glass in, and will re-order some of the unusable items, but only if I have a refund/credit. The things I want to replace weigh very little, so not worth the full delivery cost again.
  • Usually respond within a couple of days. Alternatively they answer the telephone all the time!

    Hope that helps

    Hi all,

I have just received my first order from https://www.approvedfood.co.uk and wanted to share this with you...

It's a site which specialises in selling out if date and/or clearance food. Some things are VERY cheap there. (and some not so cheap, so watch out!)

I first heard about the site on here so I just wanted to let more Poole know about it :)

I ordered all this for less than £40 delivered. Very happy customer here :)

    Hi Kevie,

As your thread is more relevant to the food shopping and groceries board I've moved it over there.

  • I had a good look at AF quite a few times over the months, but there never seems to be much that I could use :( If only they did more basics it would be worth it, but we hardly eat any processed foods.

I'd love it if there were sacks of wholemeal flour, catering bags of pasta and rice and demerara sugar, cases of tinned tomatoes and organic baked beans, litres of vinegar, olive oil and the like.

I've had a look at this site, but it's mainly processed junk food. I'm sorry to say Kevin but I wouldn't eat hardly anything off that pile. I agree with Budgeteer.

It varies and strangely sometimes has some real gourmet foods, left over from Christmas hampers I think. In my opinion it only really works if you have the room to buy in bulk when there is a really good deal. In my garage at the moment I have blueberry juice, lots of jars of blackberries, strawberries and blueberries, quality pasta, brown basmati rice, jars of thai basil, tinned tomatoes, tinned olives and the remains of a 25 litre barrel of organic olive oil which I won in a random raffle from them.
I also think they are good for drinks which despite my best efforts I end up buying when we go out with the family, or for the teenagers to take to school with packed lunches.
But I agree there are a lot of biscuits on there...if you want the other stuff you have to keep checking.
