I too am having difficulty getting reliable information about Mayfair and Grant.
  • I have just sold gold through Hatton Garden Metals after seeing the info on this website. First time I have ever done this. Price was excellent and the service was courteous and quick. Would certainly recommend them.
  • I had a really good experience with British Gold Refinery. Had some gold coins to sell and was getting really silly prices online and in local shops, then came across their site. They were quick, efficient and my cheque arrived the next day. Well pleased with the price they gave (slightly higher than everyone else). Would definately recommend them, and use them again in the future.
  • I went today to sell some gold sovereigns. I went to ATS Gold Bullion in Savoy Court. They were courteous and helpful. They paid me £205 per sovereign which is what I had been quoted by the company recommended in Birmingham. But NOTE anyone trying to sell sovereigns......there are some fakes around which are still gold but not the same content or weight as genuine ones. One of my sovereigns was a fake and they didnt suggest paying me less for it but simply told me they wouldnt purchase it. Be careful when selling sovereigns, as the dealer may tell you they are fakes when they are not. Trust this helps.

I have to say I am rather suspicious of all these recomendations of Gold places on this site from people who have not done any other posts before.I also want to sell some gold and I am wondering what to do as I have an old eternity ring/and broken engagement ring which still have diamonds in what do you do about these?
