2010!!!
I may be some time:cool:
Froggy's diary is one of the classics, natty. He's come through some really tough times but he's a great example of perseverance. :AStarting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Work review went so much better than I anticipated.. My grade is 2 notches above what I had in mind.. It will definitely have a positive impact on my bonus & payrise..
On another note, the feedback from colleagues, peers, clients & suppliers was also excellent.. It's nice to hear when hard work is appreciated..
We also talked about the future and the company has a path in mind for me.. I should get more info in the next few weeks..
Food shopping on the way home.. A bit more expensive than usual, but had bulky household items and also ingredients for batch cooking, so that will balance itself out over the next weeks..
Have a great weekend
Froggy
Ohh good news on the review mate!
Good weekend all in all with Spurs being knocked out of the Cup

Afternoon all
Finally the end of January.. I'll be glad to see the back of it..
I have treated myself in town and got a nice tea from M$S.. That will be nice whilst watching transfer deadline day..
Only one more day at work and it's finally the weekend.. No money news at the moment.. I have spotted that bosses have started distributing bonuses letters but I have not got mine so far
To beat the blues, I am looking to get away for a couple of nights.. B&B or spa or comedy show somewhere.. So far my research has been fruitless.. I would happily look at any recommendations my fellow MFW'ers would have..
Cheers

Fingers crossed for a decent and well deserved bonus froggy!!
Mini holiday sounds like a great idea! not sure about cheap deals but someone might have an idea - maybe the holiday boards on here?... also sometimes you can get a cheap room from travelodge/deveres I have seen deals on here before!0 -
Cheap holidays... I'm a fan of hotel coach breaks Froggy, the deals are always far better than you could negotiate individually.
On trips I've gone on, there are often people who don't join in the scheduled day trips but do their own thing to explore the area.
I went on an all - inclusive coach trip to Loch Long in Scotland, in our party were several mad-keen birdwatchers who got a break in idyllic settings at a super price.
I've also stayed in St Ives, Chester, Coventry, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh... Some holidays and hotels were better than others but all were good. Chester, St Ives and Edinburgh were great.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -

Thanks! I will look into this.. I have been searching for B&B's through Tr1p advisor and have found a few possible places..

Hello..
I have been tricked and lied to by a certain person, and I really don't like that feeling.. Nothing too serious though.. but still..
Moving on.. I am off out tonight for a free dinner in town paid by the bosses as a thank you for the hard work over year end.. It feels nice to be rewarded and recognised.. On a similar point, I have received my letter confirming my annual bonus and pay rise.. They are both higher than I thought and will help greatly in covering the upcoming expenses (car tax/MOT/Service, 2 new tyres and 2 trips to France).. Unfortunately I don't think there will be enough to treat myself..
I should consider myself lucky though as I kn ow many companies have pay freeze or cuts (I know having had it for the last few years)..
A good money shuffle coming up at the end of the month, which will see me finally filling up my FD saver, ready for maturity mid March..
I have VIP's coming to my place on Saturday, so I need to get my derriere into gear and get the place sparkling clean & tidy.. I really look up to those 2 people so it's vital I make a good impression..
Hope everybody is well?

I know what you mean about getting homes spick and span before visitors. Got to get my place sorted too for our Chinese Banquet this weekend!
Good luck with the cleaning...
Oh and well done on the bonus - at least you won't have to find extra money to cover those expenses and I think your trips to France count as treat? don't they?

Good news on payrise and bonus Froggy :TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
Mortgage Balance = £0
