Good luck in your quest.
BTW I am loving the fact you have a cat called Elvis:j

2 new tyres 130.00
Ferry to France 373.00
MOT 39.00
Car service 249.00
Car tax 130.00
Total 921.00
Well, the ferry is booked.. £378 lighter now  2 weeks off in June booked... Is it June yet?
Car tax due end of next month.. I was hoping to reach my 3.6K target at the end of January, but it does not look feasible.. Xmas budget was too short and according to my council tax bill, I have another payment coming out begining of February, so I will only get one council tax free month this year..
I still need to source the 2 new tyres.. and just realised that I will also have the car insurance to pay in May..

Hi Froggy
Just popping in to add my support too, I'll be here for a good while too and we are all right behind you. I'm sure that I speak for many of us who have followed your thread from the start that we are full of admiration for how far you have come, the hurdles you have overcome and the many achievements you have made.
Some of the comments on this page alone are lovely, I particularly loved Louis's comments about the Lily pad journey being akin to getting you to the airport but still being part of the overall journey.
I know the trip to see your dad for his birthday is unplanned but I know you will find a way and have a great time with your family and the new tadpole arrival courtesy of your brother (doing this from memory so I hope I've got that right)
If it helps any my car has just thrown up a few error message, one of which is ABS problem so sounds expensive! I'll of course take it to the garage but I've just had a quick rummage on some car forums where others have reported the same error messages and they all seem to be saying the repairs were between £600-800
Regards

Hi ATT :j
Thanks for stopping by.. It's nice to see people commenting on the diary.. Yes, it's a long journey and sometimes I wish I could jump a few months ahead and see what happens.. I can be a bit impatient..
My mojo will come back.. I am just a bit crossed with myself with all the outgoings and not enough money coming in..
I know my water bill will come down (water meter was fitted this week), council tax will be reduced (had to pay 5 months in 3 installments), tv licence (from £29 to £12 a month).. All of that in the next few weeks, but just not fast enough for my taste..
Concerning your car, you just need to take it to the garage and get it plugged in on the diagnosis machine.. I had the exact same issue with the Focus and all they did was reboot the system and nothing else.. You never know, it might just be that..
Am looking forward to going to France in June to meet the tadpole :rotfl: , this will definitely be the highlight of my year..
Thanks again for popping in, really appreciate it..

:j:j:jIt's FRIDAY!!!!!:j:j:jOh, I am so glad it's the weekend tonight.. I feel so drained.. Work has been really busy lately and no sign of slowing down..
Money is really tight so will have to watch out the pennies for tomoorow's food shopping.. On a brighter side, petrol costs look like they are under control..
Nothing planned for the weekend so far.. Only time will tell what exciting things I will come up with

Hello all
Another Monday, another week..
Well, I can just about see Payday on the horizon.. 1 week to goHurry up, current account is running dry
I have called the leasing company for my car this morning.. Updated my address and confirmed that last payment will be in March 2014.. then I have 3 options: give the car back (which would mean buying something else), re-financing the car (at 9-9.5% interest with them for the remaining value of the finance) or buy the car off them (which would mean finding £3.1K).. The car is an 09 plate with 32K on the clock..
I am up for option 3 at the moment.. What do you think?
It's been snowing non stop down here today.. I absolutely love it, but dreading the journey home tonight.. At least I am prepared.. My survival kit is in the boot..
Tea is ready in the fridge for tonight, so will be quick & easy..
