Hello all
Finally an update
Sorry for being MIA for a while, things have been a bit mental lately..
The job in Crewe did not work out at all.. The managers clearly lied about what I would be doing, and I ended up sitting at my desk most days waiting for the clock to hit home time.. In the end, we parted company (not my decision but I would have left probably not long after).. After that, I spent 3 weeks at mulling over where life would take me next..
I followed some very wise advice (thanks Tilly) and got in touch with a former employer, cue quick interview and I got a really good job that I have now been in for the last two weeks.. What a change, I am so happy, I am valued for my work, the atmosphere is great and many of my friends work there.. I have had to move back to Reading (200 miles away) and currently I am living with friends..
Our house is still up for sale.. We have had a bit more interest lately as we have changed estate agent and the house is priced a bit more sensibly to attract competitive offers..
My challenge in my signature will have to change as properties are really highly priced down here..
My plan is that once the house is sold, I will get a room to rent (inc. all bills) to enable building my savings to the highest level possible and then buy myself a small flat or house and rejoin the MFW wagon..
I intend to bring my leased car back to the garage and buy myself a runaround as mileage has decreased significantly.. That alone should save me £235 a month..
This is it for my update so far.. I will try to keep it up to date a bit more from now.. Sorry it's been a bit difficult lately..but I am on the up :rotfl:
Cheers

Hi Froggy, glad to hear all is working out. Fingers crossed for the house and hope someone falls in love with it soon. Property is more expensive down there but I guess you know the area well enough, to know how far out you could live, without suffering the Reading jams.
Good luck and best wishes Tilly x2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:

I had a feeling it must have been something dramatic happening for you to have been silent for so long. Thank you for sharing GOOD news. I'm so pleased things are working out. Hope the house sells quickly, with it being vacant it may well do as folks know they can move in ASAP.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Morning all
Chillout day today..
Nice lie in (not done that in a long time).. Will be watching the Grand Prix later followed by the tennis..then off 10 pin bowling with friends tonight..
Not much to report apart from that.. I will be paying off my monthly credit card today, and looking at booking a week's holiday in September, my boss has already agreed the dates..:j
I am still looking for a room to rent but there is not that much out there.. I have tried Gumtree, sparerooms, rightmove and a few other bits and pieces but no luck so far.. I will try to ask at work if anybody knows someone looking for a lodger..
If anybody has any suggestions, please feel free..
Have a great Sunday!
