    Kagie Froggy,

How about a bit of out of the box thinking:

That way you're free to move to wherever you fancy at the drop of a fancy canvas shell.

    You're very welcome....

Well, as Billy is a no-no how about a company like this:

There are several about but these look pretty professional.

Watch out Gally - that's the nice public persona they want you to see. When folk aren't looking, they're busy cultivating zombies and advanced weaponry...

  • Great to see you back with a plan and focused.

Its going to be tough, but I think you will do it.

I suppose, until you move into your new pad, you are not going to know what the bills are going to be, so you really don't know what the proper savings will be until then - also on how much petrol money you will save, but I can see that being alot!

    I will have a think.....

Wishing you all the best and load of luck.

    Hello Froggy-G,
I've been a bit of a lurker for a while and have pretty much read your biography from start to finish! The ups and downs you go through sound completely unfair, but you always handle life with such a great attitude.

As for making a decent sum each month, the only thing I can add is to make sure your next place does have a spare room as that could come into it's own. I recently looked into lodgers, but I'm not happy with sharing my home 24/7. So, you can offer a "rent a room" for people coming over on holiday. The other alternative is offering the Monday - Friday only lodging. This is for people looking to relocate or working in a different area for a while who will want to go home at weekends but need somewhere to stay during work times. Both of these have the potential to pay more than a standard lodger would, and sound like less hassle. If you were to throw in some evening meals your feedback would seriously attract others so you'd find it easier to attract when your room was available.

I also have to say, your inner strength is inspiring. Good luck with whatever path you take.
  • A plan is a great place to begin. Good luck,

Good to have you back with a plan Froggy.

Will you save a lot more once house sold i.e rent vs mortgage? Is it worth reducing asking price to be from there quicker?

Sorry to hear about the probable redundancy aswell.

    Hey Cath

We do intend to slightly reduce the asking price in the new year, but probably not by much.. There is no desperate situation, so we will let things progress on its own..

Dear Froggy, great to have you hopping back with a plan.

Let's think what other skills you have to raise cash? Offer conversational French lessons? Wiff waff coaching? Life model?

    Hello Dear Grateful ;)

Great to be back, it feels great..
Wiff waff coaching :rotfl: I will have to seriously improve my game before I make any attempt at teaching someone else!!

The french lesson is something I need to look into..I have had request from a few people about helping their kids with support for GCSE & A level exams..Worth looking into it?

    Good luck Frogmeister :T.

Are you really attached to the area? Would you consider making a fresh start elsewhere?

BTW Billy has some houses to rent going cheap ;)

Doubt very much Billy would accept me in one of his squalor ;)

Not really attached to the area, but still would like to be somewhere where I would have a support network, and an easy way to go back to France (travel wise)...
