Ow on the dog bite- how horrible!!
Hope youre okay now - agree it is as much the owners responsibilty and I know if it were me I would feel awful! Hope the rest of weekend was okay other than that!0 -
Aching a bit tonight, but doc did say it would be worse today.. Worse of all, I can't even have a drink to numb the pain
Yes the do was in our property (in our kitchen in fact!!), it jumped the 3ft fence in between the houses, and got inside and was eating Elvis' food
Billy, I almost picked up one of those ambulance chaser leaflet from A&E, saying "been hurt in an accident, claim no win no fee".. My attack by the savage beast next door would qualify, don't you think?
I earn my money honestly, and in no way would feel comfortable "earning" compensation on yesterday's event..That would be a sure fire way of deteriorating neighbourhood relations..
Plans have changed (I hear you say AGAIN) but I'll get into a bit more details later on , once further decisions have been taken..
On my own with Elvis tonight, as OH is away with work.. Catching up on paperwork, much needed as the office is a tip..
Hope everybody is alright?
Cheers

Whilst not taking anything away from your dog bite trauma, which is awful and painful I'm sure, it's scary to think of what might have happened.
A work colleague's small, elderly dog was killed by her neighbour's dog a couple of weeks ago. The bigger dog got out of the garden, and the little dog didn't stand a chance. The neighbour's reaction? 'I'll get it put down - cos it's a right pain in the a**e'. Never mind that it had just savaged another creature to death. Didn't seem to occur to them that it was their responsibility.
My colleague informed the police but I don't know the outcome.0 -

Quick signature update below top reflect this month's normal mortgage payment.. I very much doubt there will be an OP this month (unless I win the Euromillions jackpot ).. I had a quick look at the credit card statement, and it does not look good.. Holiday spending, new computer, shopping spree for OH, Elvis' cattery, high fuel & grocery costs..
Normal service might resume next month, if we manage to replenish the savings account first...
Cheers

Oh ratsA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
