Silaqui - I know it's not like me but I can't seem to get control of it
Paul - I've tried to say no but he's made me feel really bad about it.
Julie - I don't always go to the shop at lunchtimes. The shops are right next to where I work so even if I said I was going for a walk, I'd have to walk that direction anyway.
Mumof4 - Since you're moving to Scotland, you can come and sort him out for me!
Lol Mary- maybe some subtle hints about his expanding waistline would suffice- male pride and all that ;-)

Don't let him make you feel bad.
Next time he asks be very honest: "No, I'm sorry, but I have been buying your chocolate bars/drinks for X amount of time now and I simply cannot afford it. So, if you want me to continue to get them for you, I need you to repay me for the money you already owe me and give me the money upfront for whatever it is you want."
And just leave it at that. Stick to your guns. Don't let him laugh it off. Just say 'I'm not joking, I simply can not afford to pay for your chocolate bars.'. Say it calmly and just walk off to get something off the printer, or a drink from the machine (the free one if you have one) or something.
You need to show him you're serious, otherwise he has no incentive to change.
It's bl00dy hard though, especially where a boss is concerned, but he should NOT be taking advantage of you like this!
Or, you could go for the slightly jokey route and say: 'Yeah, yeah, alright. I'll get you another chocolate bar/drink, when you get me the 10/15/20 chocolate bars you still owe me.' and just laugh a bit as you say it, and then walk off again.
I'm angry at him for this! I would never do that to someone else, and my manager certainly wouldn't! I mean, occasionally, I go downstairs to get something and I'll offer for the other team members too (they usually say no due to diets etc), but they always return the favour so it works out evenly. At the moment, he's just taking the p'ss!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Hi all, another £1 to Barclaycard.
Just a back shift tonight and then I'm off for two days. :jeuronorris wrote: »Better than expected thanks. I actually did better at the cardio than I thought I would, and worse at the strength exercises, mainly cos of the positions she has you in. My legs need to build up a lot first cos I just can't hold them that long yet! :rotfl::rotfl:
OH was pretty good though. He didn't laugh as expected, he actually encouraged me when I started to whinge that I couldn't do it and is now considering doing it himself once a week - so long as I don't watch! haha. He'll get embarassed apparently! Ahhh.
Everything hurts! Even lifting up the cup of tea to my lips hurts! :rotfl::rotfl: But, on the plus side, I had the best night's sleep in ages - really deep, I feel good for doing it, and it's good for my skin too - all that circulation pumping and sweating out the toxins!
The thought of doing it again tonight though - scary as hell! I don't know if my muscles will coorperate! :rotfl:
OK, I'm off to check out your diary honey.
xxx
More hugs!
xx
Glad you enjoyed () shred. :rotfl: I think I ached for about 4 days when I started. Then ached again when I started level 2.
:rotfl:@ your OH, mine just kept trying to correct me when I eventually let him sit in the same room when I was doing it.
Thanks for the hugs.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.0 -

Then tell him you want a 10% rise to cover his snack bill.
Alternatively, just lie and tell him you're going anywhere other than the shop.0 -
euronorris wrote: »I got it from Play too! I haven't seen it cheaper elsewhere, but then the free P&P swung it for me anyway!
Bear that in mind if you find a cheaper price, but they charge delivery.
I got it from Amazon, £6.47 delivered if there's anyone who hasn't bought it yet! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Jillian-Michaels-Day-Shred-DVD/dp/B002RNOS2Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1281439311&sr=8-1
Although I'm thinking about alternating it with a different workout, maybe Davina's 'Superfit' or an hours swimming (boring:() or something because I think Shred is more of a strength workout - although it gets you sweaty and aching I can't imagine that it burns off many calories and I need to burn off alot to try and lose this weight! It is good for building up muscle though which will help the old metabolism.
Yep Mary you just gotta be strong - he's seriously taking advantage, it's be different if he was returning the favour but he's not so it's out of order.
I've had an electrician out this morning trying to sort out the source my the problems the other day - turns out that one of the wries inside one of the sockets was burnt out and causing everything to short out. It took him 3 hours to track it down  All sorted now though luckily!
I have loads to do today but hanging around for the electricial has put me off my stride a bit - need to get organised now! Better put it off by making a list...
Oh PAD of £1 again please xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -

I know. Crazy aren't I?! :rotfl::rotfl: It's just that I've not done exercise for so long, I felt I really needed it! It should get easier with time also.....I hope! lol
Yeah, I thought OH was going to be the same as yours, so I was pleasantly surprised when he was encouraging instead.
And, of course, you're welcome!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

The one I used to use with my flatmates (when they requested coke, crisps, chocs etc as I was off to the shop) was
"Ok but I only have £1/£2 (or whatever) in my pocket to get my sandwich (or whatever) and I can't be arsed to go to the cashpoint so can you give me a quid?"
After a while the hint worked, they coughed up in advance every time and both parties saved face!!
