Merry Christmas All!! Almost time for Happy New Year too!
Returned to work to find they are giving us an extra days holiday, so am going to try and get tomorrow off too! Woooo!
Had a lovely time with the family and found out yesterday that my brother and his wife are expecting their first child! My brother found out on Xmas Eve.
Anyone who is friends with me on FB, please don't mention it there as they want to tell some others face to face first.
I have also been paid. Forgot to come on here and post my PADs! Well, €69 to the savings, €31 to the *new* sealed pot (it's a Harry Potter tin! lol) and €70 to the OH. That's 145.31 GBP.
And then today, another 30 GBP to the overdraft, 56.34 GBP to cover spends on Virgin CC and 113.64 GBP to the Halifax CC. Total PAD's of 345.29 GBP
Taxman has advised he owes me, and will pay me, €417 sometime soon! At last!
Lastly, I am waaaayyyy behind on the thread, so hope everyone is doing well and had a fab Xmas! Hugs to anyone who needs them!

Off to look at Wren kitchens new showroom now, can't afford a new one but want to get ideas to spruce up the one I have (a la that TV programme where they renovated a home using the contents of the garage I think:rotfl:)0 -
Arghhh, rather annoyed with work now. I asked if I can take the day off tomorrow, and have been refused as no one else from our team will be in. It will be NYE! None of our clients are in either, so I doubt it's a big deal for us to be unavailable for one day!
Anyway, I then asked if I could work from home instead as it is so quiet. No, they'd prefer to have me in the office bored, but lucky me, I can leave at 4pm! This wouldn't bother me so much if the decision wasn't coming from my assistant manager who is late by at least an hour and a half EVERY day! EVERY day! She works from home for the first hour, to avoid the traffic. Apparently, the traffic is awful, but she (and another colleague who is also always late) do manage to get in on time if they have a client meeting! Funny that.
I just find it so hypocritical. What is the difference between them doing that, and me working from home on an exceptionally quiet day???
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Sorry, had to vent. There's been a lot of double standards lately and it's really beginning to p'ss me off!February wins: Theatre tickets0
