Two women in heaven:
1st woman: Hi! Wanda.
2nd woman: Hi! Sylvia. How'd you die?
1st woman: I froze to death.
2nd woman: How horrible!
1st woman: It wasn't so bad. After I quit shaking from the cold, I began to get warm & sleepy, and finally died a peaceful death. What about you?
2nd woman: I died of a massive heart attack I suspected that my husband was cheating, so I came home early to catch him in the act. But instead, I found him all by himself in the den watching TV.
1st woman: So, what happened?
2nd woman: I was so sure there was another woman there somewhere that I started running all over the house looking. I ran up into the attic and searched, and down into the basement. Then I went through every closet and checked under all the beds. I kept this up until I had looked everywhere, and finally I became so exhausted that I just keeled over with a heart attack and died.
1st woman: Too bad you didn't look in the freezer---maybe we'd both still be alive.Debt @ LBM - £25,722 Debt now - £11,811 DFD - April 2012

I don't start smoking again because I could not go through the first few days of quitting again. I'm not sure that Mr Fresian could either
Instead of seeing this in the morning
the poor man was seeing this
I'm afraid the 2nd pic is me at the moment:eek: and me and OH still aren't talking! In my defense I did warn him what I'd be like! He's never smoked so has no idea what it's like!! He thinks that you can just stop lilke that and thats it! er I wish!!!
I have tried in the past with patches, they failed and gave me bad nightmares!!!! Tried gum - yuck yuck yuck - made me go out and buy cigs to get rid of disgusting tasteI packed in for 4 years once and that was sheer willpower. Then I went through marriage break up and funnily enough reached for the cigs!
My only motivation was the money!! I actually enjoyed a cig  but do you know twice now I've been stood in a queue and both people in front of me had obviously just had a cig and it smelt disgusting!! Mind you by next week they may smell heavenly :rotfl: but I am determined to do it this time as I've said I'm £300 a month down and I just can't justify spending over £100 on cigs!:o

Morning all. Congratulations to all those who have cleared a debt and well done to greenbynature too. I've never been a smoker so can't comment on the best way to quit, but my OH will have been smoke free for a year as of tomorrow by going cold turkey. For a couple of months before he quit he switched to lites, intending to quite in the new year. However on 4th November he smoked the last in a box and it happened to be raining. OH doesn't like going out in the rain, so wouldn't walk to Mr T to buy another box. On the 5th, he sent me a text (didn't live together at the time) saying "walked out of the house this morning with no ciggies. Wish me luck". I think his main motivation was financial too.
My PaD today is £3.00Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -
When I quit I transfered the cost of a packet of 20 fags (I was a 20 a day girl
) into an account that I named Jimmy Choo fund
I was going to save up for some lovely shoes with the money. Sadly, I quit in September of 2008, around the time I became a DFW and ended up spending the money on Christmas shopping and PADding :rotfl:
Maybe next year when I'm debt-free I'll save up for my Choos after all :smileyhea0 -
Good afternoon all:D
Keza, well done on getting rid of aqua:T:beer::j, must feel great:D
Well done too to you greenbynature, I really admire your willpower....I've never been a smoker but my OH quit 3 years ago and I was (and still am) so proud of him, it can't be easy at all
A £5pad for me today to simplybe, I'm hoping to vary my pad's a bit soon but at the moment I'm just trying to get back into the swing of padding:D
On another good note I've finally got my OH excited about debt busting:j he's always been more than happy to go along with whatever I want to do, but this is the first time he's been really 'up for' doing it, yay! Will hopefully make it that much easier:D0
