I do feel a bit left out because I PAD less often these days. Not a PAD but just to show that I'm doing things the right way for myself, since mid August I've allowed over £1200 to build up in a reserve account towards my next tax bill/van maintenance. It's horrible having money like that and knowing that none of it is mine but this is the least stressful way for me to work through these financial issues at the moment.
I can only dream of the day that I make the final payment towards my unsecured debts. It could easily be 5 to 7 years away. But that is the day on which I focus as it is a huge help.
Also, I'm starting to work on a plan to up my income by 7 to 10k a year. It can be done. it just involves doing more of what I'm currently doing but gradually selling off my lower paid work and replacing it with new, better paid work. I am mindful that the economy will limit this to some degree but I have to do this for myself. I'm not a naturally hard nosed business person but it's something I will need to learn.

Try not to feel left out Paul, you are doing the right thing by doing what works in your own situation. Thats brilliant to have built up that fund, even though it's earmarked for things already it's still money that will allow you not to get more into debt when the time comes.

    xx

  • Thanks Euro.

    Well done Green!

I put on 2 pounds at SW this week but I totally deserved it... Fingers crossed the landlord seems to be trying to help reduce damp... there has been word today of a dehumidifier being purchased and extractor fans in bathroom/kitchen as well as new window quotes. Let's keep our fingers crossed!
