  • Cheri, just saw your post on the Matrix and popped over to see what happened. So sorry your birthday was so pants :(. Very glad you and Moo are both unharmed (mostly) though. Can't believe the boarders are so unreasonable, hope you find other nice ones. Can you have a postponed birthday celebration tomorrow when things go better?

Oh no... at least you and Moo escaped relatively unharmed. Whoo hoo to 10 days off work though. That should give you chance to sort a few things out and put recent events into persepective.

Thanks everyone. Yes 10 days off work is a good time to take note of life, put everything back into perspective and make plans for the future.

I kept saying that I needed a kick up the bum, and given the pains in the bottom of my back today then I think that has well and truly happened. So I am going to sit back, plot and then get off my sore behind and get going again.

Blimey yes, I didn't think of it that way
But seriously, it didn't do that - its made you sit still-ish for a (minimum) 10 days .... reassessing. How's the plotting going? Actually, I'd be surprised if you'd started yet - I just put my accounts in to my accountant yesterday (so glad it wasn't scheduled for today :) ) and no way am I ready to start anything big, any kind of deep shift. Take your time - healing from the immediate present day issue comes first :grouphug:

Truth is I think that I am worn out. I cant stop crying for absolutely no reason. I was just listening to the Jeremy Vine show whilst working and had to turn it off because i was in floods of tears. I seem to have no interest in anything at all. I am going to visit friends and family at the weekend (not seem some of them for 10 months) and I have been sitting here today thinking of excuses not to go. If I am not crying in the house I am shouting at drivers on the road. I keep having silly little accidents, like dropping things, falling down the stairs etc etc etc. So I need to just get a grip and sort myself out and I am sure that everything else will follow.
Sorry I hate being negative - especially on here

Hope you are feeling a bit better, it' good that you have some time off. The post I've quoted sounds a lot like somebody suffering from anxiety. Just something to be aware of because if you feel like that a lot it's something you can deal with either with medication or self-help techniques.

    Mags,

Wow, that has jolted me to reread that post which I did just days before my car accident. I stated that I was having lots of little accidents

I saw the Dr yesterday following the car accident and he has diagnosed depression :(. I declined the medication and counselling (at least for the next 2 weeks) whilst I see how I go on. I am currently investigating some self help techniques. Starting with some pampering I am trying to find a good hairdresser and I am going to treat myself to an aromatherapy facial I think. However I am happy to take any help if I feel that things are not improving.

Thank you so much for your post and for quoting that back at me.

Sorry to hear about the accident cherisong. Glad that you are both ok. pant so dog sitter who couldn't be more understanding under the circumstances. for heavens sake how unprofessional of them! Glad you have found a fab Dr. Just don't dismiss medication out of hand. Sometimes it is needed to stabilise you so to speak, so that you can then move forward with councelling or whatever to heal.
