A skiing holiday! Over Christmas as well, sounds very glam. Pippa, sorry to hear there's such trouble for you with existing work - I too feel I couldn't cope with a full time job, so I understand your OH's situation all too well, sadly.
And I want to take some wall space with a vision board quite soon, when I have more energy - thats a lovely use of it, to breakfast in front of it each day.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Love poetry but not really intellectual enough to understand differences. Will definitely go and look him up now. I find myself going back to Rabrindraneth Tragore constantly. Not sure how you would define his poetry. I am beginning to learn (via the connections I am making on here) how shallow I am
I would love to be intellectual, just dont have the time to put the effort in. If you know what I mean.
You are looking like Liz Hurley and Drew Barrymore. Just remember that part of their job is maintaining their bodies, so whilst the mere mortals amongst us have to add any body maintenance on top of all the other things that we do, they incorporate it into their working day. So whilst you are earning money doing whatever you do they are investing in their "business" at the gym or consulting with their nutritionist (who will meal plan, cook, shop etc for them). So when you look it at like that it then it may just take a bit longer for you to be in the same weight bracket. I dont think though that you should focus on the weight side of it. I think that, as long as you know your shape then you can dress to your strengths. I would love to have wider hips but I dont so I make the most of what I do have and appreciate it. Loving the vision board though. What lovely positive people to have on their. I like both of them as people they are both quite quirky. Mmmm maybe I should put a picture of Kirsty Allsop on my board. Off to cut out some pictures
I don't expect to look as slim as them (nor do I really want to) but the apple shape has such bad connotations and can sometimes seem so un-womanly (if that is such a word) I like to use the pics to help me see being an apple ain't all that bad.
I just wish I could buy trousers without the gestapo wings on the side as I don't have saddlebags to fill the extra fabric
As for Kirsty - I think she's fab and quite pretty actually.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0 -
:rotfl::rotfl: to pups in doorways. I have a baby gate on the kitchen (leads into the living room and stairs are in the living room) At night I close the door properly but OH says its mean so he just puts it too, within minutes of us going to bed we hear the door creak open the clink of the gate and then a little grumble. He does then settle down but insists on having the door open. He has stealth mode too, considering his size he has a way of sneaking up behind and I turn and fall over him
KC, yes it does sound rather glam doesnt it. Although in reality I will probably only go skiing once or twice (never been skiing in my life) and spend the rest of the time shivering in the chalet. I am the most nesh person you will ever meet. Although I really like the idea of bright sunshine and snow over the christmas period. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Oops Sorry Bitsy we cross posted. Yes Kirsty is very pretty. Managed to watch her on the computer last night. Love the new show. I confused apple shape with pear shape. Dont think I have heard of apple shape before. Love the vision of the gestapo trousers. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar.
