I have more than enough for my needs BUT I really WANT a landrover

I agree with you - the littlest gestures can be the most romantic. How thoughtful to wrap the wellies in red paper
. I mentioned in passing last week to 'date' that I needed a couple of rawl plugs and he only remembered and brought them with him on Friday
Looks like you have found a solution for Moo for when you are away. I know what you mean, you'll be able to enjoy yourself far more if you know he is safe and happy.
I always get my eyebrows done when I have my hair cut. Usually i will get them threaded every 3 weeks but if I have a cut and blowdry pending I get them done to coincide with that. If you are fair skinned with dark hair like me it makes them look so much tidier and makes such a difference to whole face. Fair haired people do have it easier with hairy matters IMO!It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Hi Cherisong, its taken me a while to read it all but I took my time with the quotes.
What a lovely romantic gesture and glad moo is sorted for the proms.
You motivated me to start my own diary, it is time for change and some things you have said really hit home. I wish you well with your journey and I hope you don't mind me joining in.
I have 2 dogs - an elderly black lab that I fear may not be with us much longer and a 6 month old whos is 1/4 rottie. 1/4 shar pe (wrinkly dog) 1/4 lab 1/4 dalmation. We rescued him and he is lovable if a bit insecure.0 -

Hello Pippajo and welcome aboard the good ship MOO. Of course I dont mind you joining in. And thank you for taking the time to read. Not that much there really compared to some people but it helps for me to prattle on. I have found some very lovely people who are very reliable with advice when I am feeling a bit flummoxed. I will pop over the fence for a chat re the dogs at some point today if I can find it.
Now my TADA list is very small today and so much to do. Must get on with it.

Perhaps I shouldn't speak too soon but the sun is shining here. Which is a good thing because I have loads of washing, drying and ironing to do today:( I set the washing machine for delayed timer start last night, heard it switch itself on this morning 6am on the dot. First load of towels now out on the washing line blowing nicely. 2nd load in. Breakfast about to be eaten then its off with the cleaning day. Friends coming to stay means that I have to clean up properly  So busy busy day.
Yesterday was a bit of a disaster on the money front. Ended up buying clothes that I dont really need for London. It felt so good at the time but now I am kicking myself. I may take them all back tomorrow! I only went in for knickers - didnt get them though.
Well, at least I saved on the professional dog sitter. However I have had to stock the fridge and freezer with MEAT!!!!!!!!!! I dont even eat meat!!!!!!! YUK everytime I open the door to the fridge a bald beheaded bird looks back at me. Hope the friends eat it all and dont leave it at the end of the weekend.
Right round 2 of the cleaning commences. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -

Last time I went in I had a half price voucher - so let the girl have some fun - but instead of block colours she weaved in foils - when I got to the till they said i couldnt use the Half price as I'd had foils on half price before so it was £82. I was so fed up with the price I have not enjoyed the colours. Shame as she is very good but £82  - I've got short hair for goodness sake!
PS - Didn't admit price to DH either0 -
I love getting my hair done. Ever since I was a teenager I would experiment with my hair, try different styles and colours and, along with new underwear, this was my therapy. However since moving to Wales I have not found a hairdresser that I am comfortable with. I was so fed up after my last hair cut/colour. I paid £75 and for the whole time I was in there I had my ear chewed off with, first the junior washing my hair told me how her boyfriend left her the night before, then the colourist told me all about the daughter who was acting up, then the Senior stylist (owner of the salon) told me how the Dr told him if he didnt stop drinking coffee he would die, his partner in a new salon in the next town had not turned out as he expected and the business wasnt working, his girlfriend has left him, how she was an alcoholic and robbed him blind. Worst of all, he didnt ask how I wanted my hair cut and just cut away. I felt like jumping out of the first floor window and have never been so relieved to get out of a hairdressers in my life.:eek:So I havent been to one since. I just hope that tomorrow goes better. Well lets face it I couldnt feel any worse. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Pippa, that is awful about charging the full price. They should have checked that first. I am afraid though that I would have just paid up and got out of there as fast as I could. Like you it would have taken the shine off (no pun intended)Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar.
