I tend to give home-made bread to my neighbours and make cakes for my colleagues. All appreciate it and it helps the wheels of every day life run smoothly.

Thats a fairly impressive list of CAKE LOVE.....

Cake Love! LMAO! I love it!

ooh, I just remembered about this thread! Thought i'd report back that the cake went down a storm! People were really chuffed and i'll be doing it again :) I have taken HM strawberry jam in before as well and they loved that too. I'll start getting a reputation!

So who's baking this weekend then?

Think i'll bake for my across the road neighbour tomorrow...They welcomed us so niclely when we moved in in April and we have't really managed to forge any sort of friendship since because we have been so busy.

I just double wrapped mine in cling wrap. Seemed fine. allow to cool completely.

Benedictadams...on the slim chance you are based in Southampton, I'll cook you a birthday cake for Monday...seriously! Let me know :D If you ARE in Southampton, the coincidence would make it so worthwhile! LOL!
