ive pushed forward in cancelling and informing benefits as i am in debt and cant afford to give the dwp jcp and local authority any over payments they have made to me so as long as everything is cancelled and ontop of it will keep my mind at rest.

Good idea. Just check whether any made payments in advance, and if they did put that to one side.
