Looking good for the 24th, on budget with your spends, and a fabulous weekend lined up to boot. It's nice when life comes together like that :D

thanks :D fingers crossed about the date, just waiting for solicitor to get back to me to confirm if seller is happy with that!

hmm not too sure about budget on spends :o will check it out tomorrow and update sig  at least debt should temporarily go under £10k (until have moved in and added up how much i owe mum. then it will go up again :eek:

  • hmm well not updating yet as too complicated! ended up being about £40 down on main account from what i wanted (well will be when i pay some money out that is owed). have got just under £200 going back in from housemate as bank cocked up and standing order still went out. got about £490 in ms account to go towards holiday now but had to buy home insurance usi9ng that as credit card was declined  eeek! def not up to limit unless someone has used it, was fine when i bought curtains online earlier! also need to buy a few holiday clothes tomorrow (fingers crossed tesco got shorts left) so they will come out of holiday spend money.

need to pay solicitor nearly £600 on saturday :eek::eek: and need to use own cash for that until get more from bank of mummy :)

think i will not bother updating moneywise until i have moved in and know how much i have borrowed off mum so is all accurate :)

on that front, solicitor advised he was ready to exchange today for completion next thur but was waiting to hear from sellers sols whether seller agreed. he said he had requested funds from mortgage co for that date. he has not come back to me but had a call from the co-op to flog me insurance now i have exchanged contracts!! so not actually sure whether i have or not lol!

will speak to him tomorrow and hopefully is confirmed. argos got offers on so hope is agreed soon so i can order furniture! :)

  • hmmm seller does not want to move until 11th oct :( so i am stuck here for longer. i dont want to move then as that is a monday and i am not taking a whole week off work (not enough leave) so i have requested the thur before or after.

good news is housem8 has not found anyone else so can stay here. he told me had not got round to repaying me the money i overpaid so i told him to keep that until i have a date (as i pay rent until 12th anyway so will prob be about right).

have now been paid and dont need to use any of that for rent until i move out. should be paid again before i need to make first mortgage payment so can use the £360 of this months pay towards 1st mortgage payment (as it will be higher).

what i am going to do is pay off all the stiff on my credit card not relating to house so i can see where i am in terms of budgeting. as i am not moving yet i will update targets and sig for this month (prob tomorrow).

have bought a few things, new winter coat (bargain £40 from matalan :j), new vest top (only £5), new snow boots (£5 primarni) friends bday present (£9 but need to post so maybe another £1). also got my new boots from last month on there (£85). will pay money i owe out and see where i am. will also update holiday spends :)

off out tonight so once i have cleaned the bathroom and typed my mystery shop reports i am going to have a bath and then do my nails in front of a dvd :)

  • ok so have now made a few payments and looks like i am on track for this month (if i dont spend anything else i shouldnt!). according to my budget, if i stick to it there should be about £150 left over, not sure where this goes as never there at end of month! so i have just paid all the non-house stuff off credit card and if my available balance on the bank account is correct then this £150 has covered that. means i should end the month with my £360 rent left over.

will be paid again before mortgage is due so can use this money to add to first mortgage payment (as it will be about £400 higher than normal).

plus i am still waiting on a £65 cheque from hp for my cashback and have about £30 in paypal account which i will withdraw next week once i have sold final item. was planning on using my overtime pay that i will get next month to pay the boots off but have already done that so that can go towards paying dad (i will have finished saving my spending money by the time i am paid in oct...i hope :p )

am going to update my sig and will try and keep doing it each month even though it is about to go all over the place! hopefully by the time i return from hol i will know how much all my bills will be and how much i owe mum etc... so can sort out a new SOA and see what i can do with regards to overpayment.

have decided will give myself the £40 each week even if i have gone over slightly week before as if i reduce it then there will def be nothing left and then i have no money to put aside for presents, larger things like weekends away that i cant afford from weekly budget etc...

right am about to update sig :) cheating abit as doing it a few days later than i should have done which means two payments to dad have come out! just means next month the total will not go down! re holiday spends, i should have had £160 extra in there but had to pay for my home insurance using this money as it would not accept cc for some reason! means that will be extra to go in next month! :)
