I get this loads - and I'm not even BPD! I wish I had £1 for every time Mr LW has mentioned something we've done, or a conversation we've had, etc, and I've had to say to him "I'm sorry, but I have absolutely no recollection of that".:(

Still fighting off this UTI at the moment. Have been prescribed different antibiotics and had to give another specimen and should have the results tomorrow. Hoping to nip it in the bud before we go to Florida.

Which brings me onto another note. :p FIL has booked wheelchair assistance for me at the airport. They wanted details of why I needed a wheelchair so he called me (good job I knew it was him. I have a phone phobia and wouldn't have answered otherwise :o) because he didn't know what to say. I just told him to say that I have M.E and it affects my mobility and I can't walk that far without exhaustion and pain. Anyway, he left a message saying it's all booked.

    :(:(:(

    I feel guilty now.

Perhaps I should go and tell Minion that her assessment of me is unfair?

[wanders off to distract her from the TV]

    [comes back]

Nope, she says I'm definitely dozy and I am in the way of the telly. Should have known better than to ask the child with thicker skin than the average Rhino.

    :(:(:(

  • I saw my GP this morning, she was lovely as always, but *sigh*

I'm now on Gabapentin and she says my glands have swollen and become hard, probably due to my excessively spotty face at the moment so I have some cream for that.

She couldn't refer me to the INPUT centre at St Thomas's because only the local pain clinic could, and the rheumatologist said I wasn't suitable for the local pain clinic. I'll have to work out another way round the NHS to get what I need, but not today, today is not a good day.

I sometimes get woken by the phone/doorbell that hasn't actually rung. Never had a visual night terror that I can recall, but a friend of mine had a Native American shaman in full wolf pelt (sorry, LW) materialise over her. Cool.

On the other hand, years ago, I got tinnitus for some three weeks or so - it sounded exactly like a security alarm going off in the park pre-school by my house when it first began.

The tinnitus started on a Saturday morning and, thank goodness, I realised it was literally all in my head before I rang the police to "alert" them to a break - in at the park. :o

  • Aww bigzippy that must suck, I feel silly for moaning now.

Is there anything they can do to help boost your immune system? For the UTI I suggest cranberry juice, some women swear that it helps so much they don't need anti biotics, I've found that it eases my symptoms and makes it generally less painful when I have to urinate. It's worth a try.
  • [opens DLA decision letter]

Low rate mobility and medium rate care. So the constant pain and inability to keep clean without assistance is a figment of my imagination, then? Meh.

Suppose it's better than nowt, but will speak to the GP to see if they will write a letter confirming this so I can ask for a reconsideration.

    Could be worse.

Ugh, flu. :( At least it's my first bout of the year... I spent last night tossing and turning, waking up every couple of hours, feverish as could be and sore throat. Not ever any fun. :(
