It doesn't necessarily have to be with a meal as such. Just a biscuit would suffice.
When I was on meds and kept forgetting if I'd taken them or not, I found ticking my calendar (or diary) worked for me.
Hope that helps.
I have an alarm that I set each night which reminds me to take my meds.0 -
I wrote the days of the week on my meds with a marker pen! This way I at least know I've forgottenMurphy's No More Pies Club #209

On Sunday my daughter reminds me to fill up a medicine box for the following week with all my tablets. I still forget to take them, but at least I try.
I've just opened a bottle of rather nice Sauvignon Blanc if anyone cares for a glass, don't make me drink it all by myself! *offers wine around*
I've jumped in so I'd better introduce myself - I'm rosy, 46 years old (how on earth did that happen?), single parent to four big kids 23, 20, 17 and 15. Work part time for a couple of charities, have Crohn's disease, osteoarthritis, Ehlers-Danlos hypermobility, fibromyalgia, depression. Three years ago I was a brown belt in karate and running 10k three times a week. Now I can't get upstairs without help, it's been a big struggle to accept the changes.0 -
Talking of DLA/IB..I'm starting to tackle my DLA renewal. It's so hideously depressing, little's changed since 2 years ago, if anything I'm worse.. Can't decide whether to do it all properly and put in every tiny bit of care and still end up with lower rate or to do the pushing for MRC.. Due to frequency of help through the day I think I'd *technically* qualify.. Just not sure if I can take it! Fully expect to be told I can do X, Y and Z before having to appeal which I hope to win at review stage!0

If only! Alcohol and morphine don't mix very well *g* but thank you. *sips her cup of tea*I've jumped in so I'd better introduce myself - I'm rosy, 46 years old (how on earth did that happen?), single parent to four big kids 23, 20, 17 and 15. Welcome, Rosy! I have HEDS and fibromyalgia, too, though bipolar rather than depression. You're in fair company here, as far as that goes - several fellow fibromites and Ash is also hypermobile. I'm a year older than your eldest kid, though, so not so close in age.Nice to meet you!

Thanks for the welcome, Trialia! I'm waiting for my referral for the pain clinic to come through, if they suggest morphine I'll gladly give up my current favourite painkiller (alcohol).
Invasion, I know what you mean about those darned forms. My HRM is indefinite, but I got no care component when I first applied, and the forms for the DWP to look at the care decision are just there ---> on the coffee table. I've been putting off filling them in for a few days because it's so physically and emotionally draining.0 -

I can have the wine! Mind you, it would help if I actually drank......
Rosy, my eldest son has HEDS and they are going to be investigating my other two boys who already have disabilities, plus myself. I've just finally given in and now have a stick which seems to be making an appearance more than I would like although it doesn't slow me down, I just do the things for longer than I did without the stick and still end up paying in the same way.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
I thought I'd stick my head in here and say hi. I've been on MSE for a while but I'm new to the disability and dosh site. I'm 22, my disability is HMS; but I also have depression, trichotillomania, acanthosis nigricans, PCOS, hypersomnia and stomach problems.
Sorry I don't have time to stay, being dragged out blackberry picking...0 -

Oh my, finally someone else around here who would have any idea what trich is like! I pull my eyebrows and eyelashes out without even thinking about it most of the time - that's why I never wear mascara as it would only wind up on my fingertips anyway...
Welcome to the thread! And enjoy your blackberry picking. Mm, now I want blackberries...Homosexual, Unitarian, young, British, female, disabled. Do you need more?0
