Hi Taxi
Used my soap nuts for the first time today. Tied them up in an old sock of my daughters. Seems to have worked well. Once it is all dry will evaluate, but it looks to be as clean as normal.
My other thought was about water filters ??? Not sure what is in a normal filter, but are there any natural filters out there that could be used instead ? Would be loads cheaper than bottled water. My PIL had a glass filter jug, so this would fit the bill if filters were okay.0 -
Willlook into that one as well thanks0

Two really good points! The normal stuff thats in a filter is charcoal, I think - thats true, deffo cheaper than bottled!2023: the year I get to buy a car0
-
From what I understand your best going for a reverse osmosis then a charcoal filter gets rid of most impurities ... That metabolism book talks about it taxi0
-
Will research it all over the next few days0
-
I have to admit I am not that keen on the soap nuts think I need to get one of those wee bags though .... Maybe that might make them a bit better0

All the best and Good Luck with your continued fighting Taxi.
Pania is right, we all seem to know someone going through similar journeys. Thankfully, more and more are being successful in their fight as research gives us all more chances.
( No thanks to 'people' like the little scrotes who beat up some Fundraisers for Cancer Researchers on a towpath in Manchester last week! Perhaps their names should go on a list for no treatment when its their turn?)
...and if you want good, cheap car repairs get out of town and find a Rural garage, usually much better rates.:D stay wonky
:D

Brita could be the way to go:
"The activated carbon that we use is made exclusively of coconut shells and activated - i.e. made absorbent - via hot water vapour." - http://www.brita.net/uk/glossary_aquazine2.html?&no_cache=1&L=1&range=&lex=Activated+carbon0 -
Glass jug here from Amazon reseller:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/BRITA-Premium-Glass-Water-Filter/dp/B000S6BZSW also on ebay for a bit less: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BRITA-%27EDITION%27-GLASS-WATER-FILTER-IN-GRAPHITE---NEW_W0QQitemZ120593855765QQcmdZViewItem?rvr_id=&rvr_id=&cguid=e6621a2111c0a0e20335d5a5fffe0059
It takes Maxtra filters which currently are on special on Amazon at £10 for 3.
So about £45 up front - should give you 3 months water, as each cartridge lasts 4 weeks. Don't know how much water you drink, so you will have to do the sums as compared to buying bottled water.0
