    Thats something, I guess. Keeping track of it all must be quite a lot of work in itself.

    Actually based on the fact that you are struggling to walk you would be entitled hun.

    I def agree here, I know I'm on DLA, have gd days, and bad days where getting from the bed to the loo feels like I'm climbing everest. But theres a mum at my dd's school, not being hprrible, but shes on crutches - imagine the scene, the morning school run, shes walking with just one of the crutches as shes feels a bit better (no problem), later in the day - the children had a fund raising event - (back when the weather was warmer!!), the kids all had to dance out in playground - all the crazy party dances, - this mother then comes with 2 crutches, - chucks them down and for the next 90 mins joins in with all the kids dances, then picks her crutches up and hobbles home....... its the same story at every disco!!

    def apply for it. xx

    Just a thought again re DLA -apparently the forms are changing / have changed to 1 small booklet, but if you ring the local CAB they can put you in touch with someone who can fill the form in on your behalf, think their from the council, I filled my own forms in to date, but last time they decided didn't need anything, but after a letter from my GP they changed their minds, but we asked for a reassesment after mum had her stroke, and I knew I couldn't face the forms - more for how there laid out and also it may sound mad, just didn't want to admit she had the stroke and needed help, the lady who did mums form was brilliant. she said they can put into one sentance what we would spend half a page on. x

    I'm sorry but it is people like her that gives those on DLA a bad name, I need crutches and have to use them all the time (well okay I CAN walk without IF I hold onto something like a work surface, bookcase, Dr Dragon etc!) basically I can't stand properly, can't walk and am really worried that they will take this off me :(

    thanks all..it's the thought that the government are trying to get rid of 20% of people on DLA that puts me off and especially the ones that are kidding on that ruin it.That ATOS place that does the medicals doesn't even take the medical stuff into account from what I hear.

    think I'll contact them and the CAB after christmasand put a claim in.

    I totally agree, - the one bad apple, but everytime she manages to get her renewals accepted, thou I'm sure someone will "drop" the dates of events in........

    You should be at our house, there a trail of finger prints along the wall, afraid their too high up for DD to get the blame...........

    I once got told there wasn't an issue as I had put on the form that I struggled with the stairs, and had to go up on all fours - they said that was acceptable..... I really feel that they should spend 24hrs in our shoes, then they would soon know what its like (mum2one gets off her soapbox). xx

    I'd def get the claim in, think at the mo, the ATOS side haven't got their hands on to the DLA side yet, I know my 1st time they sent a doctor out, she was absolutelty lovely, - I would def say get someone to fill in the form for you.
    You've been through the mill, and whether the back condition is due to your weight, don't forget that you haven't sat on your rear eating cream cakes, - you've been through the mill. Its not the easiest thing to do is exercise, its more the food side, I would say to weight loss. i'll get there eventually. xx
