Does that mean even if you went to court, you would be very far down the list of creditors?

DMP is not an option for us as DH is self employed and needs to have credit options for business in the future. There are many on here who would lose their homes if they weren't on DMP, I have to hold my hand up and say my issues are more to do with terrible financial management and, as I have discovered, I can afford to pay cc's now that I have stopped spending.

I cannot for the life of me see how freezing interest is diddling banks out of money, they are robbing barstewarts who rob us blind and send us statements to show us! Just look at business banking fee's for a clear example of it!

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

you soap box away hon!!! always good to vent. I have a good knowledge of your love of ricardo and the whole world of interest!!!!:D sorry to hear that a DMP wouldnt be possible for you it certainly breaks the monotony of wading through treacle. if you came to arrangements with creditors and not via an agency, would this still b classed as a DMP?

with regards to ex employer, for now no one knows where he is. which is a !!!!!!. so with regards to going to court i've no idea. I may phone solicitor tomorrow atleast phone advice is free! lol:rotfl:I need to find him. I think I know how to do it... it may just cost a bit. !!!!

    Z. things are improving i am glad to say, and thank you for your friendship whilst i was going through it all. Sometimes we have to come out the other side to look back and realise the errors we made whilst on our journey.

The first steps to improving things are to recognise where you went wrong.

Hope all is ok with you too.

They are indeed, though work is a bit of a PITA - but these things are sent to try us...

WHy life insurance? well. Although i have no children, and no mortgage, my nieces and parents are incredibly important to me. I know that, should i shuffle off early my parents life will never be the same. I wanted to leave them something to make their life easier, to clear my debt and also to provide for them when they are in need of medical care/nursing. I have always said that I will nurse my parents when they need it. After all they spent their life looking after me when i was dependant on them. If i wasnt around to do that I would rest easier knowing that they had the best possible care.
Likewise for my nieces. Throughout my life I hope to be there for the important events, and to assist to fund them. things like uni supplies, driving lessons, weddings etc. I want them to have that from me regardless of whether i am here or not.
Further should i pop, my funeral would be bloody expensive!! :D I want to go to newzealand and spend eternity swimming with a pod of dolphins. that aint gonna come cheap!!! So for £7 a month, to be able to acheive those goals is £7 well spent.

Just so long as it does clear your loans, and there is some left over. Otherwise you are paying £7 for the benefit of the banks...

yep sure will! my lovely friend was a mountain leader and it was his lifetimes ambition to summit everest. We have arranged it for the last event in the year to be a real memorial to him. to stand at the top of kala pathar (mountain with a view down the valley to everest) and toast him for motivating me to do throughout the year what i will have (hopefully) done. He was my inspiration and motivation every day since the moment i met him and every single day since his sudden death. Reaching that goal will be my way of paying homage to that friendship. :)
