I'd like to produce an overview of current staywarm tariffs. If people reading this could post the number of residents, bedrooms, area and cost, at the end of the week I'll compile the results.
The previous tariff (2006) and predicted increase or decrease (2008) would also be handy.0 -
I abandoned Staywarm last month after being with them for 5 years. During that time my monthly payments went from £42 to £90. A recent increase of £15 per month was the final straw.
I searched on uSwitch and am now with Atlantic Gas & Electric. Based on my last three years usage figures my estimated cost with them is £55 a month, a big saving. I could have got it even cheaper but Atlantics excellent "Customer satisfation" rating clinched it for me.

3 bedroom semi-detached house with 2 adult occupants in Hale/Greater Manchester. In 2006 we paid £80.32/month to Staywarm. Increase to £96.25 announced from March 2007; this was reduced to £84.70 when I complained, price fixed for 12 months.0 -
2 bedroom/middle terrace with 1 person in Glasgow(Scottish power area) was £17.63 last year and now £16.75 as from April 2007.
That is what I pay weekly by card at post office and sorry for any confusion caused0 -
I tried to follow Martin`s advice regarding U.K.Power as a comparison site however it doesn`t seem to allow stay warm to be entered any oneelse had this problem?No reliance should be placed on the above.0

If you select Powergen first the Staywarm tariff will come up afterwards.0

Please can anyone tell me what the usage limits are for Staywarm - because it is essential to know these limits in order to make a rational decision.
Are there two limits:
the limit between LOW and MEDIUM;
the limit between MEDIUM and HIGH?
Please post here if you know these limits for 2 people in a 3 bed house in the middle of England.
Any factual information will be welcomed and appreciated.0 -

Hi Londondulwich,
I pay £60.93 per month, one person in a 2 bed bungalow in Devon.
It was £64.
I will be interested to see the results, especially after reading how little Chas pays! it seems so very unfair.:mad:When man sacrifices the Love of POWER for the Power of Love, there will be peace on earth.0
