I got mine yesterday at the fort in Edinburgh, they had about 20 stacked behind the counter. And i can say it bakes very well, Made a cheese and onion loaf as soon as i got in, a white loaf last night and a brioche today and all have turned out excellent.

Thanks, just got the cheese and onion one from Morrisons - 75p-30p=45p.
    Try this out on Wednesday.

PS: Wouldn't everyone love a clone of loobylou for their daughter.

Remember quidco also works on collections. Mine has tracked at 42p. Thanks op.

I've been on the Currys page of Quidco, tried every tenuous link (including "get cashbank"), but none takes you to the Currys site!
    How do you get there?

OK, just found out you have to be extremely patient if on a GPRS connection!

Went and picked up the breadmaker from the Weybridge store this morning. After I paid for it I had a little browse and noticed a white Kenwood breadmaker on sale at £19.99 reduced from £59.99 that wasn't on the website. I toyed with the idea of asking if I could exchange the one I bought for the Kenwood as I thought it was a better brand but the staff were all busy so I didn't in the end.

If anyone can't get hold of the Carlton breadmaker maybe your local store will have the reduced Kenwood, a bit more expensive but still a bargain :D

Picked up my bread maker about an hour ago from Currys. As soon as I mentioned to the guy behind the desk I had a reservation, he said to me instantly "is it a bread maker?". He said he has another 5 reservations waiting to be picked up.

I have already got my first ever batch of bread on. Can't wait until it's finished.

Thank you so much OP for this thread. I always wanted a bread maker but was a bit put off by the prices. Thanks so much again.

    Yep I agree. ;)

Am I right in thinking Loobylou was Andy Pandy's girlfriend ..or are you lot too young for that question ???

The funny thing about this Breadmaker is I've got this picture in my mind of all you girls across the country dressed up in polka dot dresses in the kitchen baking bread like in The Stepford Wives ...please tell me it's true :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Meanwhile first loaf was good but didn't last long so OH doing another....no polka dot dress though :(

It's true, and the dresses were all whizzed up on our sewing machines this morning in a jiffy. Homemade gooseberry jam anyone?:)
