Anyone tries the fastbake setting , on our old one if made the loaves really heavy and stogy

We used the basic setting last night with the ready made packed it came out really good, apart from in pushing the lid up as it rose quite high !

I take it you didn't use a ready bought bread mix??

Thanks Stacey - sorry for adding "10" onto your name. Think as it of taking 10 years off. ;)

In that case, I hope your mummy is watching over you when you are baking. :rotfl:

Hi, I was just wondering if there was a reason no one was ordering for home delivery?

There are none in stock in my area & it is showing as in stock & free delivery - am I missing something?
    Your spectacles, perhaps? :)

Grantham,Newark & Skegness still have stock
  • I had one reserved in Cwmbran. I rang up Sunday as hubby is poorly & said I wanted but might not be able to make it to the store until today, Tuesday. Was assured it would be there waiting for me as in stockroom & collecting Tuesday would NOT be a problem.

Having had problems before with Currys - going to collect things & them not being there, I erred on the side of caution also & I reserved a second one Monday using a different email address.

Drove the 15mile round trip especially just to collect it this morning. They had one left on display with no paddle, box instructions etc. They had an identical one (apart from name) below it (presumably with all the gubbins but he wouldn't let me have any bits from this). I was more than peeved when the promised one was not there for me especially after phoning them & being assured it would be there - no problem! Hmmmmm! No phone call etc.

This is the third time in as many months I've had totally abysmal service from Currys Cwmbran - I'm NEVER going to buy, or try to buy anything ever again from them. Talk about dismal service!
