    Hi its not LHA its private rented through an agency and no there are no rent arrears.

    Any sneakiness on my part, actual or implied, was purely accidental.

    However, LHA would still apply even to a private rent through an agent. And, as such, so would the rules on payments direct to LL.

    altho Housing Benefit became Local Housing Allowance.. it is still colloquially called HB by many many council employees, tenants, and landlords... my local councils seem to have had millions of HB Application forms printed and are still using them now...
