I want to make home made pizza - does anyone here do it? Any recommendations for the tomato sauce base? Thought might buy ready made bases to start with, then progress to making the dough, but I think we should be able to make the dough in our breadmaker?

Will wander over to the old style board, bet theres some ideas over there..

Hi mogchops - I made HM pizza for the first time tonight using the BM... it was so good and really easy. For the tom sauce I just used chopped onions fried up with garlic then added a tin of chopped toms, tom puree, basil and pepper... left it to simmer for a while then blitzed it with my hand blender.

    Have a great night everyone :) x

    Today I have:

Sent OH shopping, and he actually came back with what was on the list for once

HM meals from stores - Thai green chicken curry tonight (yum)

    Seen to plants and animals

Washing on line to dry, 2 loads :D

    Done some weeding

Had hair cut (not MS, but needed doing and wasn't too expensive)

Done a bit of cleaning, though not enough - it is like a bomb site in here  I am shattered after work and at weekends, but really need to get a bit of motivation.

Nice cup of Earl Grey, then off to bed for me I think!

stopped myself buying a new vacuum cleaner, i really want a smaller one so it takes up less space, plus ours isn't designed for hard floor surfaces and has a bit which doesn't work. have to keep telling myself i don't need a new one even at half price or better!

repaired cooker door, OH suggested we just buy a new one! took me 10 mins to fix the handle back on!

  • Hi everyone  thought someone should start us off on this gorious sunny Saturday ;)

So I just received my companies structure chart and I am definately either the managert or asst manager. Thank god was really nervous because there is 1 manager from another team who is displaced and I was nervous that there was a chance I'd be competing for that. Like Jo said yesterday its a weird thing because I'm so relieved I'm not out of a job but feel a bit guilty for thinking that...

    Anyway this weekend:
    • [STRIKE]fridge/freezer/cupboards inventory[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]meal plan[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]go shopping[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]check banking & switch some money between accounts[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]PAD to loan :D[/STRIKE](£5 of the petrol money from colleague I give a lift to work ;). next week I will havde £5 from tobacco I sold :j. It seems to be going down very quickly have already overpaid by £40 in the last week!)
    • clean bathroom (maybe lay flooring?)
    • banana bread
    • hm bread x 2 oh did one - will do another tomorrow
    • [STRIKE]get chicken out of freezer this morning & put in the fridge to defrost for tomorrow[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]get chicken breasts & prawns out of freezer for signapore noodles for dinner tonight :D[/STRIKE]
    • car maint- need a new front tire (:( that takes a chunk out of my spending money this month...), clean inside, check oil & water
    • plant seeds - lettuce, basil, rocket, corriander
    • feed toms
    • [STRIKE]not spend too much when we go out today - there's a bungee jump thing at a loacl pub, me, oh & some friends are going to watch for a laugh![/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]update sig[/STRIKE]
    • clean spare bedroom ready for new student arriving tonight

ok new thing added to the list. Also think we will be off to play tennis this afternoon as long as it doesn't rain :D
