  • Hey chaps

Sorry I fell of the posting wagon, I even bought two sandwiches this week at lunchtime, brains not functioning - so MUST get back on track

    Today
Must do that electric reading as they are telling me they will cut me off (?) its been a week since they sent the wrong estimated bill
Must freeze extra food in fridges and feed hens the bits that are too far gone/yuk
Making pasta sauce from the 'almost not great veg' in the fridge, you know the kind, chuck it all in, add a tub of chopped tomatoes, whizz it all up - and no one realises they have eaten celery/courgettes in the tasty look whats in the freezer pasta HM sauce
Sorting out the other shed to make a garden/potting shed - its full of carp from the owners which I'm now sorting out and getting it organised - its been a while now and no progress from them, but its a task and a half!
Hand wash a few bits and save the electric of the machine (which isn't here anyway)
    Hens fed
Walk doggie probably just here and save petrol
Gardening to do and might sort out my seeds
Sorted out the kitchen and must sort out other bits
Freeze extra tomatoes for later sauce making
    freeze extra basil
Chop up the spare haggis and freeze it into portions as I am the only one that likes it
    Make some bird cake later
    Read my magazine
PHone clubcard points and change address also ask about subscription which never arrived
not sure what else yet - made some nice coffee and must make that last :)
Organising stuff in general to be more sorted - its a steep slope!
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
    minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
    :money:Sleeves up folks.:money:
  • Its really quiet here today, ds still asleep :eek:, dh at work, and dd still away, just me and fuzzy dog.

    Today I have

Taken paperwork into client, had coffee and chat, posted her letter for her (at least I know it has gone)
    Done Washing
    Mopped floors throughout
Put all my Rainbow files away (looks better tidy)

    This afternoon I will
    Check online banking
Do the ironing, this is the stuff that has to be done
Go in loft and dig out ebay stuff
dh will have snack tea as it is fish and chip day at work, ds and I will dig around in freezer for something "convenient".

I think looking for stuff to ebay will take the most part of the rest of today, I feel the need for a blitz:D
My finances are work in progress.
    Normal veiwing will resume shortly

I'm so grumpy I'm annoying myself today!
Just having one of those days - just this week I've had to shell out £168 for a boiler repair and £130 for a new fridge.
Was so fed up I went to Mr T and bought a Slimming World magazine, a mega bag of cheese balls and a bag of cola cubes to eat whilst reading it!

Need to give myself a kick up the bum (although I do have my single monthly day of PMT too today - great timing!).

Right - I am now forcing myself to deep clean the kitchen and hoover the house - honest!

PS - On the positve side - I got a £10 Boots voucher in the post this morning from a survey site and £4 cashback for orderimg my new fridge via Quidco - small mercies......!

    Afternoon all,
GRRRR  to broken fridges:mad::mad: Good idea with the coolbox though, & its not too hot at the moment, so should see you through!

We make our bread in a breadmaker too - and still get excited about it :o

    Today:
    - check online banking
    - worked 4 hours overtime :T
    - been shopping, & used £1 off cat food & £6 off total spend & got DD two pairs of jeans in the sale for £2 & £1.75 each!!:T:T
    - was shattered this afternoon - had a snooze :o
    - done some gardening
    - hokey cokey

Babysitting for friend tonight - & she will do for me when we need to :A

I want to make home made pizza - does anyone here do it? Any recommendations for the tomato sauce base? Thought might buy ready made bases to start with, then progress to making the dough, but I think we should be able to make the dough in our breadmaker?

Will wander over to the old style board, bet theres some ideas over there..

Have a good evening everyone xx

    Afternoon all!

    Debt free things today:

1)Taped some films on the V+ box so when me and the OH are bored and there's nothing on telly, we can watch a free film instead of buying one/renting one.
2)Bought some reduced price meat (saved 75p) and reduced fruit pack thing (saved 60p) - both of which will be eaten tonight!
3)Got BOGOF offers at Tesco, saving £2.22
4)Bought sweets and drinks for Toy Story 3 tomorrow, rather than paying extortionate cinema prices.

But I did spend £7 over budget on my shopping eek
  • Hi everyone  thought someone should start us off on this gorious sunny Saturday ;)

So I just received my companies structure chart and I am definately either the managert or asst manager. Thank god was really nervous because there is 1 manager from another team who is displaced and I was nervous that there was a chance I'd be competing for that. Like Jo said yesterday its a weird thing because I'm so relieved I'm not out of a job but feel a bit guilty for thinking that...

hi mog its so easy. I put my dough in the bm (mine is a MR prog 9) let it stand for 20 mins after it comes out and its easier to roll out. for the sauce I do onion chopped finely, tin toms, tom purree, a little leftover wine if its kicking about, a couple of bay leaves, oregano, a tsp of sugar and cook it up till it reduces. put it alll together with whatever is knocking around in the fridge and needs using and cook as you would a frozen one (gas 5 for 25 mins-ish) easy peasy x

Morning Determined - thanks for starting us off.

Had a bit of a mini drama last night - all the power to the sockets went off and the alarm started going bonkers - it turns out after much investigation and faffing (and a midnight call to FIL) that the fridge has died. The fuse has been changed but its not having any of it - it keeps tripping out the whole house. Poo!

So today will be spent sorting that out - hopefully it can be fixed if not its a new one:eek:. The only bright side is that there's not too much left in it as we're coming up to shopping day so not too much waste.

    Other than that...
    • Walk dogs for free exercise - already been to the park for a good run around -done a few more
    • Hoover downstairs (again!) - done
    • Clean conservatory - nope, got sidetracked with the kitchen
    • One load of washing and dry naturally -done
    • Phone mum using free land line to arrange pick up of sister and drop off of dog -done
    • Sand down manky woodwork in en suite bathroom ready to paint - nope
    • All food from stores - yes apart from crisps:o
    • Drop OH off at tram station for his mates stag night:eek: done
    • Look at paint charts to pick a colour for the hall and stairs -doing now
    • Clean kitchen thoroughly and behind the fridge (disgraceful!) - took ages, even scrubbed the floor and cleaned the powder drawer of the washing machine, well and truly spotless now
    • Maybe tidy out one or two kitchen cupboards - nope
    • Investigate new fridge prices:mad: - bought one
    • Stay in tonight and wait for OH to roll in worse for wear yup
    • Check banks done
    • Do any surveys that come done
That's all I can think of for today so far. Hope everyone has a good day.

Not everything acheived today but quite happ with what I have done.
Will try to be in a better mood tomorrow;)

    Evening all!

Late post from me as been out all day, spent some money but not too bad! DM (Stiching Witch, for those that don't know) and I went to Bourton-On-The-Water in the cotswolds today to research roof slate colours for our dollshouse we're building...so today I/we have:-

    - DM drove to BOTW using fuel that her DH put in...lol
    - Took picnic
    - Bought cream teas for us and honey on toast for DD was £9.85 in total and filled us up for hours!!!
    - Bought reduced duvet set for DD in ponden mill - £6.66
    - Went to Mr T's when I got home, bought b'day presents for Ex-DSD? That's a long title, my ex's daughter. Reduced cropped trousers and top in their sale, bought 84 pampers nappies for £9.45
    - Went to b and q to get silicone sealant to finish kitchen - didn't get questioned by staff on my ability to do the job this time.... also bought an air vent cover which I went to fit and managed to knock a MASSIVE hole in the wall, due to old house and crumbly walls....whoops.

So that was today, I have now settled down to an evening on my own with a ~MASSIVE~ mug of tea ans stupid saturday night TV. Decided to sort out the hole tomorrow...........

    Jx
Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!
