I had a Samsung mobile a while back and vowed never to get one again. I don't care if they're giving them away, I certainly don't want one!

So as a marketing ploy, Samsung are giving away a phone that has exactly the same problem as the iPhone. Are they giving a case with it?

Yes. To paraphrase other people on here: "I can't get my head round why Samsung are allowed to sell the Galaxy S, given it has a ridiculous design flaw. Surely we need someone with real authority to make them stop selling it. Boo hoo."

Free vs 499 is a no brainer. I bet some astute MSE'ers can try their luck. After all you just need to tweet 140 characters max for a chance to blag the phone for free.

If I were you Oscar I would start tweeting too for a chance to blag the free phone too.

Not to mention they drop phones shortly after release and dont update them.

A little convenient that 4 out of the 5 recipients of a free Galaxy S work for marketing companies though.
