Quite of lot of pressure to buy the additional issues for £1. Was quite firm about just wanting the one issue, and the mug. But not giving my direct debit details seemed an issue. Not sure if will get a mug, they mentioned that only the first 5000 will get mugs...0

No joy here.
I didn't know which magazine the code was from so they wouldn't yet me use it.For thousands of people this Christmas, their must-have gift is far more vital than the latest gadget or toy – it’s blood. Please don’t let the festivities and cold weather prevent you from giving them the ultimate gift… give blood.0 -
Managed to get one sent to me, will wait and see if it turns up.0

I can't remember now, sorry. Possibly New Scientist or Computer Shopper?
No-one asked me which magazine it came from.

Taking a retro look here.
Today I stumbled across my USB stick freebie from The Economist which I had tossed aside because every file I put on it became corrupted.
As a time waster (who me?) I have been playing at formatting it to see how it goes. Interesting results:
NTFS Format - no file transferred to it shows up. The transfer visibly occurs, but nothing there. A veritable black hole built into a USB stick.
FAT Format - files transferred now show up - yay! But every file that gets transferred becomes corrupted - Boo!
Still, what can you expect from a freebie given away by a right-wing comic? Anyway, I'd be interested to know how anyone else got on with it, or didn't as the case me be. Similar problems or what? The bankers stole my pension (and everyone else's). It should have earned a lot of money, but they took their bonus pot first.0 -
I ordered one through love film offer last year i had to txt them and they called me back (didnt need to spend my money) , the memory stick arrived quickly, it lookes nice and works0
