Glad this works, will ring up tomorrow :j I have to admit I was a bit skeptical when I got the leaflet through the doorRecieved mine today! USB not bad, just under a gig of memory, but cant get rid of an automatically read "CD drive" put on the usb, so when you plug it in, both a removable disk drive and a new cd drive appear, and the cd drive has all the economists bumf in it to try to convince you to buy more!
By the way Aadam if you are using windows you can right click on the usb drive in 'My Computer' and click format, this will remove everything from it and should stop the CD drive appearing, hope that helps0 -
1st memory stick they sent had disk errors............
eventually (after a lot of really stupid emails from them saying What is your subscriber number? (Don't have one!)) they sent a replacement - no better!
so whoever else said their memory stick doesn't work........... yeah i think the Economist got a load really cheap and they're pretty shoddy
so i'm finding this more trouble than it's worth
(oh.. but i haven't tried reformatting; maybe it's worth a go............ but why should i have to?)0 -

This is supposed to be a freebies board/forum and any item on this board should not cost ANYONE anything. Hence, my previous post had merit and value.:rotfl::mad:
I realise this thread is ages old, but this offer has just come around again, I wanted to research the offer, the thread came up and I decided to sign up to defend my fellow logician and common sense-ist.
Technically, any offer posted herein requires the offeree to look on the internet at said offer, thereby incurring a monthly internet fee, and not being free. The offer itself is free, the use of a telephone is not. Lets use our noggins over this one: this clearly is a freebie. Pernickety, pedantic and pretty-damn-useless.0 -

lol 1gig, patetic. These are surplus rubbish that they cant sell so wholesalers are teaming up with promotions groups to give them away.0 -

They will probably ask if you want 12 issues for a total of £1 (they did last time with me) but this is not essential to get the free stick. We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
