I've bought the labels you can write on and iron on from supermarkets (still end up just printing on the label though)

I'll confess, after the 2nd/3rd time he's come home with someone else's shirt, that I've washed and sent back and never seen his again - Next time I will rip the label out and keep it.:o

I got some cheap iron-on labels from ebay - decent quality too. I did the initial thingy and just cut off the side we didn't need. (J. Brown P. like mentioned above)

Sew on ones will leave less of a mark if you intend to sell on, but iron on ones are so much easier!!!

There are some called taggits, which are tagged onto the washing label with a drawing pin type thingymajig. (it's safe, really!!)

They arent the cheapest, obviously, but i think they are fab.

I use https://www.carelabels.co.uk for all my labels, and find Julie quick and efficent
personally I prefer sew on as it is a pain after a few washes when the iron ons come off up screw up with the dryer heat - I also use 2 kids one order...

and yes they still come home with wrong clothes

I'm lucky, last year our uniforms were changed to a plain navy blue jumper, I got these from Asda for £2.50 each and they've lasted well.

But I am shocked when some of my friends tell me how much it costs for children in high school when you've also got to PE kits for different sports aswell.

i had to buy the kids school summer dresses from the school shop for £13 odd each. same ones in asda £4 guess where i'm going next year.
if the school say anything i will tell them to go and make money out of some other mug.
my daughters sec school typical example £300 for uniform even socks, skirts etc have to have school logo or they get detention so unfair ,my other daughter starting next year.
time for parents to revolt, they can hardly put the whole school on detention.

i think its disgusting that some schools have logod trousers / skirts / socks etc !!!! :(

when i was in secondary school it was only the logo jumper and tie you had to have then the skirt / trousers / socks / shirts etc could be as cheap / expensive as you wanted them to be so long as they were the correct colour !

At my school, whilst we do sell stuff with the logo/motif already on them, we also sell just the logo/motif on it's own and parents can then iron it onto the items of uniform bought from anywhere they like.
It saves so much money for the parents as they can buy standard uniform from anywhere and with the logo on the kids all look really smart:D
