two days of being ill. can you imagine how much mess two small boys and a badly trained husband can make in that time? all my hard work undone.

if i could get off the sofa without being sick, :o
if i could get through the living room without falling over the toys
if i could find a space on the worktop to make a cup of tea
and dont even mention the bathroom  :o

amazing how fast things slide isnt it? Needs a couple of hours work but I just cant stand for that long.

    TNG no I didnt

When Oh got home last night, he said that the way to do it, is take a brand new sharp razor blade and drag it over the scratch then buff with silvo pads.

He did point out that the scratch is in fact so tiny, no one would really notice it. Ive gone over the area rewashing with newspaper this morning, and only anthea turner would spot it! besides that razor blade idea made me feel a bit  Id mess that one up for sure!
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

  • This thread is too huge for me to read thru, so some concise tips needed please! :)

How do I get really started with flylady.

So far I shine my sink last thing at night. I do the Job Of The Day in the room (ok have yet to clean the bath today!) & I swish & swipe the bathroom.

I am going to do my 1st 27 fling boogie while I wait for replies!

    Thank you

    Hi Lisa :hello:,

I am still very much learning this fly mullarkey, so from my perspective......

I started, like you, with the cleaning of the sink. I then graduated on to 'hotspots', those areas that, no matter how many times you tidy them, seem to get messy almost immediately. For me that is the kitchen table, for example, all the post and papers and stuff just gets dumped on there. That alone gave me a boost, seeing my hotspots clutter free.

After that, it is a question of adding jobs one by one until they become routine. Any job that seems daunting, just say to yourself "I'm going to do as much as I can in 15 minutes". Gradually, you will find that you are on top of things, rather than chasing your tail (and when that day comes for me, I'll be very happy:D).

There's loads of other stuff, but the more experienced Flybabes will be able to fill you in on that stuff.

I'm 'chuffed as Monkeys' with the little I am doing at the moment

Ive taken a little break now, dont want to get depleted like yesterday and start messing things up again!

And a little snack to be going on with for now.

This morning Ive been attacking the lounge
Windows cleaned, paint cleaned off sofas, hands & knees cleaning on the laminate flooring, scraping yet more paint off of plug sockets, the list goes on and on!

Mrs MH ( great name BTW ;) dont look at me & what Im doing, as Im gearing up to sell my flat so I am working like a little trojan.

But the principle of fly for me is, little, often with concerted effort. Results, most noticeable.

    hows everyone else going today?
