    Hi Lisa/mrsmh (am big A-HA fan too)

    Take a look at this link from the Flylady web page which gives you baby steps to follow and adapt it to suit your circumstances.

    tp://flylady.net/pages/begin_babysteps.asp

    Like FLYboy/TNG I've found it best to build up a daily routine to include things like Swish & Swipe bathroom, One laundry wash & iron a day, empty/load dishwasher, 15 mins paperwork, sort post etc and then just add an extra job or two from the zone/room you are focusing on that week.

    When I'm really overwhelmed I just set the timer for 15 mins and hit a room with all guns blazing!!!

    Start small (babysteps) and build up then you'll be a proper FLYlady like our Pen Pen who is amazing!

    Good luck. Punky x

    Flying in a slightly different direction at the moment. Have abandoned housework and cooked banana bread for NCT group this afternoon, leek and potato soup for DS and inlaws (already demolished) and carrot and orange soup for my lunches this week. Will load and run DW plus second wash in WM & TD then out for the afternoon.

    Shout me if there is any new on Michelle.

    Almost forgot - KEEP GOING LYNZPOWER!!!!!!

    Flyboy - stick a beer in teh fridge for me please ;)

    That's very kind of you, Punky! :D :A I'm not really amazing, I've just loved doing this site, and posting my list means more of it gets done, or I'll have you lot on my tail! I'm not naturally tidy, and a prodigous hoarder, so I still have a long way to go. Freecycling is great for getting rid of stuff, guilt-free.

    Lisa, hello! Great to see you here! As Punky says, baby steps. I find the best thing when I'm not feeling too motivated, is to set the timer for 15 mins, do what you can, then stop. I do 3 x 15 min bursts, then 15 mins on here, with a cuppa. That gets me more moticvated, than thinking I have all the kitchen to do.

    Dusty, have a great holiday! Hope I haven't missed you!

    TNG, I'll have a beer with you, too.

    Lynzpower, have you stopped yet? You've done great!

    In Michelle's absence, Flylady's task for today is to thoroughly clean your bath or shower. Get it shining! Can't believe I did this this morning, before I even got the e-mail. :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Will be Flying properly again on Thursday.

  • Good morning Fly Agents. Your mission for today, should you wish to accept it, is to spend 15 minutes in your bathroom, washing your rugs, shower curtains, and accessories.

    This is what my list looked liked three days ago . . .
    Bathroom
    Scrub shower;
    Wipe out bath;
    [STRIKE]Wash floor[/STRIKE]
    Sort out bathroom cupboard

    Other room
    J & Ls bedroom -
    [STRIKE]Change beds around[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Move Ls drawers
    Remove Js drawers and put storage cubes in wardrobe for his clothes[/STRIKE] (not very MSE, but his drawers were too big for the room and the cubes were half price )

    Usual stuff
    [STRIKE]Weekly menu
    Write grocery list
    Get groceries[/STRIKE]
    Load of laundry every day
    Vacuum through house
    Wipe windowsills and grubby finger marks around light switches
    Change K & Rs beds;
    Dust
    Wash floors

    Well unfortunately it hasn't changed! I've been coming home from work and doing nothing except get dinner ready. Feeling a bit tired this week, but that's no excuse! :mad:

    I haven't done a load of washing today, either.

    OK - tonight:
    Laundry (will put a load on tonight and hang on airer in morning);
    Fill and start DW;
    Fold yesterdays washing!

    Tomorrow
    Empty DW;
    Work;
    Change K & Rs beds;
    Remove dead flowers from vase;
    Dinner and clear up;
    I MUST iron;
    Get washing started for the next day :)

    ********************************************
    Hope all is going well, Michelle. Can't wait to hear the news :)
