foreverskint wrote:With regards the ironing mountain, I plan from tomorrow:rolleyes: to iron whatever is dry that day, and to take 10 more items from the mountain and do those too. So each day I will be reducing the pile and not adding to it with the newer clean stuff.
Does that make sense:j
A very clever, yet amazingly simple solution!! Thanks. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
Hey carlih
My case has been moved to the mercantile court, have you been there? My understanding is that theres only 3 of us so far that are moved and we are waiting for dates
Sorry to take this OT:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Hello Flybabies + Flyboy
For all of you struggling with FLYing or not very motivated please remember the following:
TAKE BABY STEPS! Flylady encourages you to pick up a new habit over the space of a month so that it just becomes an automatic part of your daily routine. These include: Swish & Swipe, Load of laundry a day, empty the dishwasher, shine your sink. If you only manage these each day you will make a big difference and feel more in control.
On top of this she encourages you to do a task in one of the 'zones' that will only take 15 mins. For example clear the clutter under the bed, tidy a drawer, wipe down the skirting boards, flick a duster round, etc. As you do small but doable tasks each day, the big things become more manageable as you keep on top of them.
Some of you are disabled, have children (young and old), work, live alone, etc which can make flying difficult so delegate where possible (particularly OH's and older children) or simply pat yourself on the back for doing any FLYing however small - after all as Flylady says ANY flying is a blessing to your house and family.
Keep going - you're doing great!
Punky x
Nearly forgot! I've been having some really slow/bad days but DONE TODAY:
One laundry load
Hoover dowstairs
Empty dishwasher
Dust lounge
Dust playroom
Stripped & made bed
TO DO:
Swish & Swipe - unlikely!
Ironing of one load - might do!
Make something with lots of plums and apples - running out of ideas!
Clear office hotspot - never!Punky x0 -
For once I have managed literally every task, bar the camera which Im relying on Mr LP to sort out when he gets in from work
We are then gonna stick a few bits on ebay and have a lovely dinner ( hes said he wants burgers, but I made the chillin anyway for tomorrow)
Im so chuffed, I never get everything done. I might ask hi to move the spare bed with me later so I can start doing up the spare room for "dressing" tomorrow, as this has been holding me back
Im so CHUFFED TODAY:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

This Ive come to know...

Quick post before bed.
Don't know if any of you do this but when my littlest one is in the bath I clean the bathroom. I can chat to him, know he is safe and be productive at the same time. When it is time to clean the bath he knows he has to come out. BTW when mine were little I used to put them in the bath in the swim ring to help them sit up without falling. Obviously I never left them alone but meant that I was not leaning over the whole time and that they had freedom to play. To me flylady is about fitting housework into routines that work for you. Night all, sleep well DustyThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Not likely to get this all done in one day but here goes:
TO DO:
Swish & Swipe ensuite / bathroom / toilet
Laundry wash (bed linen so need to iron dry)
Empty dishwasher
15 min tidy of each room
Iron yesterday's laundry wash
Hang curtains in spare room
Put DS old clothes in loft
Respond to all emails & texts
Sort out invites for Pampered chef & card/book parties
Send card and flowers to DS for engagement
TIDY HOTSPOT OFFICE before DH comes home as he's not impressed
Do plum and apple crumbles for freezer (thanks Lynzpower)
Thank goodness some of you have a good day when I have a bad one - feels like the day wasn't a waste afterall!!!

Hey Dustykitten - great idea, I do this too. Hope DS won't turn into a clean freak! I've already got him mopping the kitchen floor which he loves and he's only 3!!Punky x0
