  • Friday's plan

Spag bol to make in SC
    A wash load of towels
    Swish the bathroom
Clean the kitchen and bathroom floors
Sort out last hot spot in my bedroom
Start soaking some paper for paper log making
Pick up two eldest children for the weekend

Despite my saying I was aiming to start reducing the ironing pile today, I actually cleared it all:j Found once I started, I wanted to carry on. It took most of the day, in bursts.

That really is a weight off of me, It was making my bedroom look so undtidy.

After two weeks of serious flying I feel that I have 'broken the back' of the housework, and can now start next week with some routine that will keep it tidy.

Thanks for starting this thread and giving me the motivation I needed:D

    thats brilliant foreverskint, well done!

only been flapping my wings for a week so you've given me hope
    weaving through the chaos...
  • foreverskint, my inspiration!!! Between us DH and me have finished the ironing mountain!!! ( Well except for one top that was still too damp!) I'd told him your cunning plan, and when I started to flag he took over. Then it became a bit of a challenge, and once he gets the bit between his teeth!!! Normally it dries me mad but tonight I'm pleased as punch!!! So gratefull thanks!!

Wow - things are really moving along in here :)

I have one more thing on my master bedroom list to do then that zone is finished for the month. Still need to go through Christmas box. Unfortunately I discovered a leak in the waterbed this morning, so have had to add fixing that to the list (if I can find the hole!!)

Rest of the list for today:

Go to hospital for pre admission visit - DONE
One load of laundry - DONE and hanging on clotheshorse
Wipe down kitchen surfaces - DONE
    Swish and swipe bathrooms
    Change some more address details
Take DS for job interview after school
    Check budget

And to finish off the day we are going out this evening cos a workmate is leaving.

    Catch you all later :)

It's a great feeling isn't it? Never thought I would get so 'anal' about the ironing, but for the first time in months and months, it's not haunting me.

I know what you mean about the challenge bit. That's how I was today. Everytime I finished another small pile and had a coffee break, it became a challenge to keep going and going.:T

Now I shall NEVER let it get back to the monster pile it was.;)
  • good day today,
finally sorted out "The Cupboard Under The Stairs:eek: " which has been accumulating random junk since i moved in last year, now i can actually see everything in there yay!!:D
did all my washing AND IRONING!! (normally sits in a pile and gets ironed as needed - or more often just worn wrinkly:o )
planted some shrubs i bought last week.

    TO DO ON SUNDAY
mow lawn + reseed bare patches
    mend favourite sandals
sort out plans for my b'day next week
    hoover
mealplan + shop for next week
