"Past history of marriage"??? We're doomed :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0

oh i hope they dont ask us about fathers and to see mum and dads marriage certificate, my dads dead and they divorced 20 odd years ago!!I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0
-
Bubbles, it was just Fathers name and occupation, or last occupation, don't worry, I'm sure they won't pry too much considering the circumstances xx
Oh and we weren't asked for our parents marriage certs.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Heck! I'm getting a bit nervous now! Our appointment is on Monday in Leeds.0

Please don't worry everyone!
Its nothing to nervous about. It's just basic questions about each other, but you do need to answer them, even if they seem obvious to you! (like are you related by blood)
With regard to Parents marriage certificates, it depends on circumstances. What year you were born and if you have a valid passport etc.
They will ask about fathers details because there is space in the register for fathers name, occupation, if they are still living and if they are retired. This space is for you natural or adoptive father or a step father if married to you mother. If you do not wish the details to be recoreded they don't have to be.
You will be asked if you have been married or been a civil partner before and how did the marriage or civil partnership end.
This is a legal requirement as you obvisouly cant get married again if you are still married!
(Apologies for spelling, its late and my spell check isn't working!)0 -
I can't remember for the life of me who it was, but the bride was not happy with the registrar at all and it was as if it was the resgistrar wanted all the limelight on her ~ I'll have to search to find the post or thread because it will bug me now lol
I don't know if that's what the registrar meant, it wasn't me who posted about it.
I wouldn't be able to do anything if we were going to be married by a dragon because we don't know who we're going to get beforehand.
If we did know beforehand and didn't like the registrars attitude, I wouldn't hesitate in asking for someone else or if that wasn't allowed, I'd complain and tell her to make sure she had her happy helmet on, on the day
Hahahaha! Happy helmets all round! I agree!0 -

Yes, proof of address is important.
Your fiance could take a wage slip if that has his address on it? Does he not have a mobile bill or utility bill??Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0
