As title, I've been house clearing and removed passenger seat to create more space in the car. Does it need to go back for MOT?

Yes, if the car was made at new with one fitted it must have it correctly and safely fitted at its MOT to pass, failure to will result in an instant fail and the test will be aborted0

Will you please stop posting this bull....
There is no requirement to have a passenger seat fitted, if one is fitted it must conform to MOT standards!Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -

I think you will find that it is in fact an MOT failure.
I had a car once which failed an MOT as the rear seat had been removed to do a repair, the test station failed it and after looking online it clearly states that it is in fact an MOT failure.
Get your facts correct :money:0 -
Are seats even included in an MOT? Seatbelts, yes but actual seats?
Ok, if the seat bolts down throught the floor and this point was corroded it could fail due to there being holes in the floor, but for an actual seat?0 -
ignore what sassy one says as it is incorrect.
you do not have to have a passenger seat to pass an MOT. I know many people with road legal track cars that only have one seat and they have no problem going through the MOT0 -
