Have had the mortgage man round. Its my dads friend and my dad had offered to pay the fine to get us out of the mortage early if it worked out worth it - but ofcourse nothing is simpleIt wouldnt work out worth paying the fine so we cant save any pennies there!! When my dad first mentioned it he said about if it didnt work out he would still us the fee money to pay off the mortage...... Which is sooo lovely but there is soooo much of me that wants to say can we use it to pay off some of the debt instead!! As would be so much better for us BUT I dont think he would want to spend money on our debt rather then the mortage - IYKWIM??
Still not been able to leave the house!!! ARRRRRR Starting to go mad stuck in here lol. Have just done the budget for Jan and its badWe have spent far to much money the last few days - Sent DH to the shops on xmas eve for a few bits we didnt have - he spent a FORTUNE!!! I dont know exactly yet as he wont say just said it was lots and its not showing yet on the bank statment!! Arrrr. But he has said how will be so good from now on and be tight for Jan etc etc etc and then today when he went into the shop to buy some bits he spent more on things like 2 tubs of ben and jerrys ice cream because its only £2!! He is not having the card again for the rest of the mth.....:p
He is taking dd to a football match on the 9th which he will need money for but we paid for his brothers tickets so he should get £30 from that - which will have to be enough for the day trip??

Good to hear to had a fab xmas too! We are also going to scrimp thro jan as we do every year. Dont mind so much this year tho as I am looking at Jan as a challenge and from feb things should be easier. I am going to try and bring our shopping in at £120 this month (usually £200) but I dont need to buy nappies or baby milk. I called at the local shop last night and got a load of reduced stuff which is in freezer. So before I go shopping I will do my meal planner first so there is no double buys lol.
Enjoy your day x

Morning mummy, glad you had a nice Christmas, its lovely when the kids are so made up with their pressies isnt it?!
Re the party have you looked in Tescos for party bag stuff? I picked up a lot of DD's stuff in there and it was on 3 for 2. Not sure how old your DD is but we had little fairy crown and wands, balloons, sweets and something else but I cant remember quite what now! It was really reasonable as I was on a budget.
Im sure you will do it though us mummies always find a way through.
Oh dear to DH spending, I think you do right to take the card away from him! Glad he got the organised book you were after though :T.

Was just thinking aswell did you use the extra Tesco vouchers that came out in December? Or maybe you have some unused points on your Nectar card? All little things that help x xMummytogirls x0

I do have about £13 of tesco vouchers so will use them if really need to and we always have loads I can ebayBut will save it to finish in feb I think - need to try and save extra for paternity leave....again
We will be fine it will be tight though.....Lucky I dont have to buy nappies though they are in the washer as we speak so will help on this tighter mth.
The kids got some new clothes for xmas and ds got 6 new baby grows which saves me having to go get him some in the sales he does need 9-12 mth things but i hope we can wait till feb now.....
