mummy2mygirls
congrats on the new one!
do you look at Freecycle and Freegle for some bits you need for the kids and yourselves etc?
Mine were giving away TVs as they had upgraded to flat screens and barely used items like slow cookers, sofas, etc.
With mine once you have given something away, you can ask for things. So this might help with school uniforms?
Do you subscribe to your local netmums? they have a nearly new board, on which people sell things, give things away and you can ask for things.
And I know you are extremely busy but what about entering comps when you have five mins? You might be able to win stuff for next xmas, birthdays, etc. What you do win, you don't want, sell on.

OMG I am in tears writting this!! I have jus received a statement from Marshall ward saying i owe them £548.63!!!! For something i have never received from them
I ordered a double pushchaire from them last year but after they said it wouldnt be delivered for something like 4 weeks so i cancelled and ordered from mothercare. But now they are saying its the end of my Buy now pay later dal and i owe then the cost of the buggy plus £160 of interest.....I have phoned to say i cancelled the order and that i didnt receive it but because its been sooo long i now have to put it in writting. So now I don know what to do!! Its bound to come back that i ordered it and cant prove i didnt get it - it was over a year ago so i dont have proof of me cancelling it
I did get the same buggy from Mothercare though so received that one......

Oh Mummy, is there no way that you can prove you cancelled the order?
Bank statements proving no payment was made or a refund was given?VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -
No because I ordered it on a Buy now pay later from them but just phoned to cancel the order! Im sure i got some admin fee from then for prosessing and then cancelling the order (as i though that was a cheeky thing at the time) I will have the bank statement for the mothercare one i brought but nothing with this one.
I thought before though that when i have brought things on a bnpl i still got a statement with it on each mth just with a bit that said i didnt have to pay till the date its due??? But i havent had anything from them with it on
Will send of the letter and say all the info on and see what they say! I just cant be dong with this stressGC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. No6 Due Mar 2013 My world.:j0 -
OK im a bit calmer now
have had a good chat with OH and I cant see us 'having' to pay for it when we have never received it!! So surely it must be a case of them having to prove Ive received it??? Fingers crossed anyway!!!

Ah hope you get it sorted - how rude of them. Anyway surely something as large as a double buggy should legally be signed for upon recieving it - which obviously you didnt as you havent recieved it? They should have a signature as proof which of course they wont? x

I wouldnt worry, usually you have to sign for big items when they are delivered so if they dont have a signiture then how can they prove you recieved it. Also the person who you spoke to to cancel the order must have documented somewhere you had cancelled for you not to recieve the pram.....................and dont they always advise all calls are recorded for monitoring and training purposes?????December 2018: £20,850.24. it usually says Calls maybe recorded for monitoring and training purposes.
The maybe is in case the call doesn't get recorded.0 -
Working in a call centre I would be really, really surprised if their calls are not recorded so I am sure 'IF' it gets that far you can ask them to trace the call.
